Sometimes when I wak up in the morning, my arms and hands will tingle, so I can barely feel them to shut my alarm off. Do you know why it is happening and what I can do about it?

The tingling and numbing is usually caused by circulation problems. This happens, for instance, if you sleep on your arms and cut off blood flow to your hands. Lack of blood flow to your handcs can be a sign of something more serious like a blockage in an artery or something.

Were you sleeping on your arms?

Depends on where your arms are at night. You may be responding to reduced blood flow to the arm region. Also, you may have carpal tunnel syndrome. Try sleeping with your arms not curled up under your pillow. Also, there are exercises one can do to strengthen the arms. If it is that bad, I recommend a doctor. Also, if you are on any prescribed medication, check the contraindications and determine if tingling limbs area side effect of the medication. Good luck.

You could have some circulation issues. It's not a bad idea to mention it to your doctor the next time you are there. If you are actually experiencing pain you your limbs, you might want to make an appointment sooner rather than later.

You can find a good article about circulatory problems here:

My guess is that you roll over and are sleeping on your arms and hand at night and they fall asleep. I do this all the time. Just in case, ask your doctor! If you are young and don't smoke, I'm sure it's nothing. However, these can be signs of a stroke.

Lack of blood flow. Try sleeping in a top or gown that is less restrictive on your upper arms and shoulder area.

It could be the position you are sleeping in, or it could be the mattress you use. Worse case scenario, you may have circulatory problem. If changing positions do not help, see a doctor.

Could have just slept on it wrong and temporally cut down the circulation.
