I think if a guy notices a girl he really wants to meet, then he should approach her. But if a girl notices a really amazing guy, and the guy hasn't already taken notice of her, she should approach him. I don't think gender should have a whole lot to do with it, although it really does in our society today.
Honestly, I'd be thrilled if a girl made the first move... and if the girl looks decent, there's a low chance of rejection really. It's a freebie! He didn't have to go through the trouble to ask the girl out, and I'd say the girl would be fresh and attractive making the first move. However, I think anyone that sees a fetching member of the opposite sex and is attracted to them should approach them, regardless of sex.

It all depends upon the people involved and their situations. Personally, I'm a tad tired of making the first move every time I go out with someone. It gets old after awhile, sometimes it's nice to be approached. On the other hand, I think more women need to speak up and start making their own moves.

I don't think this is a guy or girl question. I think whom ever it is that's thinking that they like someone, than that person should make the first move. Why? you may ask.....because maybe the other one is thinking the same thing but is nervious to make it. They won't like you lest for making a move.

It doesn't matter, as long as someone makes a move. I have been in both scenarios and it really makes no difference.

Whoever wants it more, I say. There's no need for gender-typing anymore. This is 2006!

If you really like him, just say something like "I'm on my way to Starbucks, would you care to join me?". That should get the ball rolling.
