it may be a new virus that there is no fix for, you can do a search for a removal tool if you know the virus name. Make sure you have the latest updates for your antivirus software this could also be the reason. If you can't find a removal tool and the update doesn't fix your problem. try doing a search for all files on your PC with the virus name and remove. Go to start menu, select run, type msconfig hit enter, and select startup, uncheck any entries there that may have the virus name, to be safe check the services tab as well and do the same. You can also search your registry for any entries that may be there, from the start menu, select run and type regedit hit enter, select find from the edit drop down menu and type the virus name there, then delete any values that are returned with your virus name. Be very careful when deleting registry values, be sure that they are virus related.

if u ask me installing AVG r other antivirus software to remove virus is not at all a satisfied points.. If once virus entered your system some how some where may be files r anything regarding ur OS files virus would've done something to that files.. If you remove virus by using some antivirus softwares,it may remove the virus but not the harms that the virus did to ur files r to ur operating system may be ur FOLDER OPTIONS might've disappeared nor the RUN command in your START option sudden sudden system restart in between ur important works while ur doing in pc... So to avoid this the best thing is fully formatting your harddrive once & re-install ur operating system.. This is the best way works with many of my friends including me when v'd the same problem...

Type the exact name of the virus into your search engine (e.g., google). Look at the resulting sites for a downloadable fix program. Then follow all of the instructions (sometimes you have to run in safe mode or turn stuff on or off). I've done this a few times, and the fixes usually work, even (and especially) the ones recommended in the various bulletin boards asking the same questions you are. The techies in those tend to be pretty good.

I will caution you, though, that the fixes I've downloaded from Norton don't usually work--I don't know if that's me or my computer or what.

If you know what the name of the virus is, visit the Symantek site and download the removal tool.

Go to Trend Micro's Housecall (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/), and do a scan online. Write down the name of the virus, if one is found by the application. If the results of your scan also show links for additional information, click on the links to learn more about the virus, and what can be done to repair your computer.

Good luck.

Try downloading a free anti virus program called bit defender. It detects viruses that even Norton cant and instead of deleting the infected file, its disinfects and quarantines it. Its also free.

anti virus software just messes up the memory on my pc. if it cant remove it, then back up your files on a disk/drive and format your computer. i know its annoying, so leave it as a last resort.

How’s everything going?:
Get strong antivirus or internet security program, then do a full system scan and once you find the virus your program will ask you if you want to terminate.
Have a good day
