There are more genetic similarities between humans and chimpanzees than there are between Asian and African elephants. If evolution doesn't account for it, what does?

lol!
How do *creationists" explain that? More importantly, how do evolutionists explain that!?
You just said that two types of elephants -- essentially the same creature -- have more differences than a human and a chimp -- obviously very different creatures. Does that not strike you as odd? Does it not tell you that homology in genetics is not as clear cut an indicator as some might think.

Besides that, I would just point out that your question is really just a fancy way of saying "chimps and humans look alike". Because, after all, dna mostly just codes for proteins which build our bodies. And since we all know that chimps and humans have very similar bodies, then why should it surprise you that we have similar protein coding genes?

The problem is, with every single philosophy humans have created thus far, there is always going to be something we can't answer. What was there before God? What was there before the Big Bang? How do you explain the sudden explosion of species if you're telling us there was a gradual evolutionary process? Why can you not find any missing links?
We can keep trying, but we'll probably never figure things out.

How did natural selection learn how to make the brain bigger, to gain speech and highly abstract thinking? No one can explain it.

If we want to make a computer more powerful, it takes 1000's of bright people to do that. Thus, there is a conclusion to be made.

It used to be said that when a religious person did not understand something, they would say god did it. Now, when a secular person does not understand something, they say, evolution did it, without proof, without science. Sounds like faith and dogma to me.

By the way, how did you mean creationist? Let's say non-biblical and non-denominational. A creator is simply an undefined god.

Also, God the creator is truth, and science pursues the truth, which is god's fingerprints on the universe and existance.

Creationists could explain away the existence of apple pie if they wanted to and felt like it was an attack on their being "right". Did you know that Darwin was also a minister? They even attack their own when it threatens their fairy tales. They don't call them "flocks" for nothing you know. And God said, "Let there be bulls**t!" And there WAS!

Okay,if that's the case why can't you teach them to talk.Sure you teach them to count and recognize things.Try this, throw a fish on land and see what he does.He will die.It is genetically impossible in any, shape,or form for that matter for a fish to develop lungs.Throw a cow in the ocean,he will die.Oh yeah, that catfish they said that is in the middle of growing hands. That's the same fish that's been around for years. It too, can't live outside of water.
This is a debate that will go on forever. What chaps me is when a scientist comes up to you and says, your right but there's nothing we can do about it now.People will lose their jobs,we would have to rewrite text books in schools,we would have scientists lose their credibility, some of them might go as far as to cause harm to themselves because their whole belief system would implode on them.
It's a fact,their beating a dead horse(so to speak).It's the biggest mistake for a scientist,school teacher,or whoever to teach evolution literally.
Teaching and believing evolution causes more problems than just a debate and belief system.
Evolution is a fraud.

properly, i'm Catholic so what i'm in fact taught may be that opportunities are high we did evolve, yet God planted that seed. exceedingly via undeniable fact that people have lots "junk dna" i think Genesis is a tale of love. in basic terms yet another factor, there are micro organisms that are so technically centred and effectual it is frustrating to assert they progressed or progressed. they provide the impact of being so basic complicated they had to return from a "greater suitable source". i do no longer remember the references the place i replaced into instructed that so which you will forget approximately approximately it in case you will like. additionally, "40 days" tend to seek advice from "a quantity of time" no longer inevitably 40 days.

Where on earth do you get your facts? Actually, as far as anatomy is concerned, humans are more similar to pigs and to dogs. Also, when these idiots dig up a skull and decide to call it "man" , they say: it looks remarkably like a monkey -"
THATS BECAUSE IT IS A DAMNED MONKEY.
Evolution is an unproven theory. Thats it, nothing more.
The Bible states that this Earth has been here for millions of years. In the millions of years of Earth before Adam and Eve came on the scene, there were many different creations of God,
I'm sure. Some of them were not able to remain when God deceided to put man as flesh on the Earth, ie; dinosaurs.
so those previous creations were taken away as to provide the
ability for man to exist as the dominating creature on Earth.

god made us the way he wanted to! easy!
i would think that the fact the there are less genetic similarities between 2 different species of elephants would debunk evolution easier than creation! lol. get a better argument!

Has science EVER recorded ANY genetic mutation of the type required for Darwinistic theory to be true where the mutated being lived and was able to produce descendants having the mutation? If it happened in history, wouldn't it still be happening?
... like an animal having a different number of chromosomes than others of its species.

2006-10-26 05:38:32 · answer #10 · answered by Anonymous · 2 2

There are also extreme differences between the DNA of humans and Chimps....46 vs 48 chromosomes...several unique chromosomes.

Also...despite your claim, Asian and African elephants can mate and produce fertile offsping, indicating genetic similarity...whilst humans and chimps cannot.
