The hatred of which you speak is probably born of envy. Personally as a True Brit and pro-American, I do not give a damn if people like me or not. Its like water off a duck's back. US/UK share a lot of freedoms and liberties that many countries around the world can only dream of. Well, that's their problem. The solution to their lack of freedom is simple - start a revolution today.

If you're talking specifically about the war in Iraq then it's because America was the instigator and Britain was only too keen to be the first to say 'me too'. I do think that the whole of the allied forces gets stick sometimes but admittedly not as much as America and Britain. You could look at it two ways really; if the war seemed justified then both nations would be getting praised as heroes above everybody else too which I'm not saying is right. I also think it's easy to sit back and crow when things have gone badly because some of those who scold us had no intention of helping out whether it was a justifiable war on not.

The other allies either are so small as to not be worth mentioning or contributed only support troops who are medics or engineers who help the public rebuild or patch up the wounded. Other so called allies only contribute bases in there countries to act as stop overs for supply flights into Iraq or Afghanistan. Where as the US and UK have tanks and troops running around making them high profile and in fact there would be no war in Iraq with out the US/UK effort. The war in Afghanistan doesn't draw as much fire except that it's under funded and undermanned.

I do not think people hate Britain , they just could not understand why Blair went along with Bush in this occupation.
If Blair or the British parliament decided that there were not enough evidence to attack Iraq and said no to Bush in this pre-emptive strike . The american public might not have the appetite to start a war with Iraq on its own if there were not enough support from the international communities .
So , in a way , people are angry of Britain for not stopping the so-called pre-emptive strike when they had the chance to do so than starting the war along with America.

it's just too convenient that's why - the more open the society the easier it is to point fingers - the more closed a society it makes people lazy and not really wanting to research stuff for themselves. For all their faults I'd rather have Britain and america than all the tinpots and despots and unstable types saying how we should live. As for europe, they're paper tigers, all squeak and no teeth. If something goes right they reap the benefits, if something goes wrong they become smug, put up their hands and say 'hey we didnt actually vote for this'.

Before answering you this question I tell you something is that Britain and America are not a person that they can just impose their decisions and orders on other countries.

It is due to their role in the International scenario that people started hating them. They are having atomic capabilities and why they are stoping others to have this?

They are forcing other countries to sign the treaties like NPT and CTBT, while they have not signed these so far.

They are favoring Israel to have nuclear capabilities and opposing its neighbours to have such capabilities...why?

There are so many areas where they are playing doubles....

Their policies should be alike for every nation. But these policies are alike only for Israel.

They need to behave themselves in the International affairs.

All the people of the world know that terrorism has to be stopped. Some, like Spain, France, and Germany know that if the terrorists succeed in crippling America, they'll be next in line.
They all realize we're doing the job that they should be doing. It's human nature to hate the one that you're deeply indebted to. All of Europe, except England much prefer to have Americans fight and die instead of them, even though they have just as much to gain as the ones doing the fighting and dieing.

People do not hate Britain as a country - we are overrun with foreigners coming here and living off our social services - but they do hate Blair for lying and then attacking Iraq. Bush also got it wrong but seems more willing to accept this whilst Blair refuses to apologise to Parliament and the electorate.

Because Britain and America are rich countries. If everyone hates both countries so much, why do they both have a ton of immigrants? Jealously......that's all it is. Most countries ***** and whine while extending a hand for the monetary support they receive. Wankers.

I'm sorry my friend but really try and visualise the roles being reversed!
So many people have and are being killed just because we believe they should maintain our values and be carbon copies of ourselves.
Every family member of each person killed, maimed, injured or suffered damage are not going to be best friends with us.
I'm sure if you were one of them you would have so much hatred for the perpetrators of your predicament.
Just hope one day that 'we' as well as 'them' will chill out.
Live and let live!
