When i go to attach pictures they take forever to attach and or are not able to attach b/c of their size. the pictures i am using are directly downloaded from my digital camera. I am not so bright when it comes to all this techincal jargon when doing this so break it down to me in pretty simple terms please. THANKS for the help

You need photo/picture editing software. Open your picture and there should be a resize option in one of the edit menus, this will allow you to make the image physically smaller to fit onto email. You are best saving the resized image as a copy or under another name, so you don't lose the original sizing. If you need help I can be contacted on IM.

It depends on what kind of software you have. If you dont have any photo editing software go to download.com and get a free one that will BATCH convert (Id go look for you but download.com is blocked at work). After you find one install it and look for the batch convert option. It should let you save all of your files at a smaller compression ratio and it will do it to all of the ones that you want. It cuts out having to do it to each file individually.

More than likely, some form of photo editing software came with your computer. There you can use either "re-size for web" (or some variation of those words) or re-size by pixels. A 640x480 pixel file is small enough to email without problems, yet big enough for the recipient to enjoy without a magnifying glass!
