if his temp is 98.6 he is fine that is normal temp. a low grade temp would be 100. or higher when you the 2 month old to sleep don't lay him flat on his back prop him up also put a humidifier in his room and make sure you keep his nose cleaned out there's nothing you can do about the mucus he has to be able to do that on his own he may eventually start coughing alot as well these types of viruses typically lasts 10 to 14 days if not better or running fever take to the doctor do not use vapors on your baby!!! also, do not let anyone smoke around the baby!!!!

you can check it with your doctor so he will recommend you some OTC medication .but in the mean time use saline nasal spray or drops .You can use them as many times as u want there is no side effect and it works well. Also use the nasal aspirator to suck the mucus out. And humidifier at night especially .don't panic he will be alright .my 14 months old daughter is also going through the same condition.

Try taking him in the shower with you. The warm water and humid, steamy air may loosen up some of the mucus and make him a bit more comfortable.

attempt: - quite raising one end of his crib mattress (if he's in one yet). placed a pillow or some thing below the mattress. - Saline nostril drops and a bulb syringe to scrub his nostril and do away with boogies - Humidifier (i take advantage of a funky mist one) in basic terms shop up with those products and it may help carry him alleviation and good restful sleep. he's in basic terms too youthful for any chilly drugs or vapor rub. in my view i would not permit it go greater suitable than one or 2 greater days tops...then call your ped. exceedingly if he has a cough. My daughter had precisely the comparable warning signs, devoid of fever or replace of urge for food. Then she started wheezing and that threw up a crimson flag for me. grew to become out she had RSV and pneumonia...I had NO thought! She's a better than chuffed toddler and gave me quite no signs and warning signs, apart from everyday chilly warning signs. i replaced into bowled over and felt sooooo undesirable. She then had to flow on antibiotics. Anyhoo i'm no longer asserting which will take place inclusive of your son yet in basic terms shop an extensive eye and take him top in in case you experience you would be able to desire to. wish your little guy feels greater efficient quickly.

if you are worried about your baby, why are you wasting time waiting for answers? CALL HIS DOCTOR!
you should be taking his temp rectally and 96.8 is too low! get him to the doctor NOW! (unless you meant 98.6)
babies get colds. put him to sleep in an upright position (like in his carseat) it will help him breathe easier, and get him an appointment to the doctor.

first call the Dr.
then there is Baby Bubble Bath(Johnson & Johnson) that has ingredients to help relieve babies noses. or there is also lotions. vaporizors work well too.
he will need lots of rest and attention.
