The causes of sexual orientation have not yet been determined, although correlative studies have cited a number of things that happen in utero perhaps increasing the tendency to become homosexual. Also, it appears that identical twins raised apart have a higher likelihood to have the same sexual orientation, but this is not universal. If sexuality were determined simply by genetics, then these genetically identical creatures would almost universally be gay. However, it appears that there is a combination of nature and nurture at work that determines sexual orientation.

There is no such thing. There have been MANY scientific studies, both biased and unbiased, attempting to find a genetic link between homosexuality and heredity. Nothing has been found that suggests such a link. Anyway, why does it matter? There are all kinds of abnormalities that are genetic in origin. Does that make them any less abnormal?

The "gay gene" is a non-existent figment of the imagination of homosexual activists trying to validate their perversion.
No evidence of a "gay gene" has ever been found. In fact, the "scientist" who originally "proved" the existence of such (in the early 1990's) was actually a homosexual activist, and later admitted that his "study" was faulty. He later said that it doesn;t matter, since his goal was to plant that seed in the minds of the public. He has succeeded.
There is a ton of evidence to suggest that homosexuality is a developmental disorder, not a result of genetics.
The Sun Times article posted above is an example of how the liberal media insists on pushing this fallacy on us, regardless of the facts. (Anybody who questions whether or not the Sun Times is a liberal news outlet is far too ignorant to be involved in this discussion).

There is no "gay gene"
It's called sin. God would not create someone gay and then command them not to sin by commiting homosexual acts.
Everyone has a choice. A choice to be normal or to leave the natural use of a woman/man and go burn in lust toward a person of the same gender.
There is not gay gene, it is all in the mind. If one worked hard enough, he or she could come out of the mind set that they're gay and have no choice to be otherwise and they could change. It is possible. With God, all things are possible

You have got to be kidding. Have the religious right made it seem like a genetic disorder?

It is a theory. Geno-typing is still in its infancy. The genes that make eyes blue and hair curly have not been tagged and identified, however they probably do exisist.
