Carbonated water is made by co2 gas being infused into water where as Soda water is produced by adding sodium bicarbonate to the water first before the addition of the co2 gas.

I don't know if this will help you, but some people call a Coke, Dr pepper or Pepsi a "soda water" kind of like a nickname for their drink and of course carbonated water is like Perrier or what ever it's called.

It's called soda water if it's canned or bottled. Carbonated water if it comes out of a tap.

They are the same thing I think. Soda water is cabonated water.
Club soda on the other hand contains salt.
