Follow up question from yesterday. Yesterday I asked what brought you here. Now I want to know what keeps you coming back.
Is if TWSIDR for a laugh?
Is it Mav for a smile?
Jim_Darwin for a thought provoking discussion?
Is it to debate, or to discuss your beliefs with others who share them with you?
I see Christians ask Atheists day after day why they frequent this section...maybe this will be a chance for them to finally see why.
Please state your religious affiliation and what brings you here - whether you are Muslim, Atheist, Christian, Agnostic, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Wiccan, Pagan, whatever ... I wanna know.
I am agnostic. For me, it's all of the above and more. I like the thought provoking debates, shared interests and beliefs, seeing the other side's point of view, the laughs, and the fellowship.

I am Buddhist. I am learning things about other people and their beliefs and more importantly, I am learning what I believe through having to articulate it in my answers. Also...I have become fond of these odd characters in this forum! Unseen and intelligent, irreverent, pure of heart and oh so human, all of them. We are all a motley crew!

I'm Mormon. I come here to learn mostly. Most of the questions I answer are thought provoking questions. And in forming my answer I often times learn what it is I believe. It's not that I don't believe it until I write it, but more like I never thought about it or put it into words until I answered the question. Jim_Darwin is usually good for a few questions that really make me think. Sometimes The CPT is too, even if he doesn't know it. (... he is a he, isn't he?)
I also come here in the hopes that my answers will help someone else. A lot of times I feel like the asker may be asking the question not because they want a real answer, but to see how many people will fall for their question. But I still answer, because I hope that someone else will take the question seriously and find the answer they need.
Recently, everytime I try to ask a question to provide a place to discuss an idea, the question gets deleted. So while I'd love to really discuss certain aspects of some of the questions I answer, by asking my own question in response, I can't. Someone always reports me and it gets pulled and I get accused of chatting.

Basically I'm on here every day because I work as a receptionist at a law firm and when it's slow here I can be on line. I have found some really great people that I have an affection for. My dear friend from Iraq I speak with every day.I also like being able to voice my opinions strongly. I am a very gentle and quiet person by nature so It's nice to be able to be to really let people know what I think about very touchy subjects. The other thing that I like is that there is a variety of so many different people with different back grounds and ways of thinking. Some are silly, others sad, others just ridiculous. It has been really interesting for me. I enjoy the fact that with some questions I have actually been able to help other people, and they have also helped me too.

I am an Atheist and I like thought provoking discussions .
I have yet had my questions answered about god without quotes from the bible .
I am still seeking the truth on whether religion is a conscious choice or is there really a god that can be seen and contacted.
Im not into pretending .All my imaginary friends left me when I actually had real human friends.About age 4.
Why are you here ?Who interests you ?

Enjoyed reading your story and particularly your final answer. I have to agree with you that I am amazed at all the different ways the same brain we share is very different minded and sometimes in agreement. I get a kick out of coming back and trying to input somewhere, something, that I otherwise wouldn't have a chance too! Even though I will skip over alot of tasteless and immature queries, I do find the time, sometimes, to throw it back at them and collect the two points, and thank them. Otherwise, I find this a great resource for people who, in need, and in all sincerity, try to get help or serious advice! These are the ones and their questions, or pleas for help, that I search out and try to help, support, and hopefully re-direct to proper channels. In no way do I consider myself a professional or licensed practitioner, but I can speak from experience and the heart. That's what gives me an edge for the day and a sense of selflessness toward my fellowman (and woman) wherever they may live on this planet I share called Earth! Oh, and congrats on your accumulated points and level achievements!

Im muslim and i enjoy the debate and discussion as well as the humor when its not aimed as an insult to another religion.
Y!A really is thought provoking and broadens your knowledge and understanding of other people and global issues.
It really helps to understand why people have their prjudices and where it comes from. I like to help people learn new things and am thankfull when they afford me the same opportunity.
Besides its just that much more interesting than going to my campus lectures. keeps you up to date with global issues too.
Some of the things that i find interesting on here dont even make it into the news in my country.
Like the thing about the UK diplomat and the veil and thee Aussie who said women are asking to be raped by the way they dress.
Its also just a good platform to be heard and counted for what you stand for by thousands of people.

Interesting to see how others think. Looking for questions to answer. Dedicated to helping clear up misconceptions among those who are stuck in their left brain or right brain and haven't studied things out for too long. Ready to laugh once in a while and to share virtual gummy bears (sorry, the actual ones would make real envelopes too sticky). I am Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Oh, and trying to get to the elusive Level 6.

I'm an agnostic.
I love having a giggle and shaking my head at the folks who think if they rant and rave and insult enough on here that they can change another persons viewpoint eg. Christians trying to convert others, Athiests telling Christians they are fools.
I like to give my personal view if anyone asks, but dont feel it's my place to convert anyone, as we agnostics do.

In the misguided beleif that I might actually say something to someone that might actually change the way they think. Not the way they BELEIVE, but they way they THINK...
If more people learned how to think critically, less people would still beleive this fairy tale of Gods.
With that, you can see that I am an Atheist and proud of be a free thinker.
