First you must eat less fat and carbohydrates. Drink less alcohol. Eat no cakes or biscuits.
At the same time for your stomach only, lay on the floor, on your back, feet together. legs straight.
Lift your feet off the floor and raise them with legs straight, about 6 inches(150cms). Hold in that position and count slowly to 10. Then lower. Do not drop the legs down but lower them slowly. First time out do this 7 times.
Next time increase the number 8 and so on. A maximum of 20 every day and you should see the difference in about 3 weeks.
Add to this walking briskly non stop for at least a mile 3 times a week and if you have the time go swimming as this tones up a lot of your other muscles. Good luck and don,t give in after a short while.

A lot of women think that rigorous cardio will help just burn fat. Think again - many of these women who are on the cardio machines (treadmill, elliptical, stairmaster) are doing the right thing, yet they are not combining their exercise with proper weight training. Do a few sit-ups, you'll see quicker results. Use some of the abdomen weight machines - anything that targets that midsection with weights... do them!

Just doing the cardio alone will take much longer to burn the fat. Also, if you can, try not to eat any carbs after 6pm in the evening. If you can do that, try 5pm, then 4pm. It's hard to do, but once you get to your desired body shape, you will be able to find out what you can or cannot do in terms of nutrition and exercise.

Forget the myth that heavy heavy cardio takes it alllll away.

My daughter bought an Ab-Swing which really helped get rid of her podgy belly. She only uses it for 15-30 minutes every day (as she does basketball etc the rest of the time). Her brother keeps using it too, ever since he seen the difference on his sisters stomach. Don't go out and buy a brand new one though, we picked up our one at a car boot sale for £10. Sit ups also help. Take care and don't over do it, build up from 5min's each day the first week then add a minute or two each following day. Best of luck.

If you have stubborn belly fat, the only way you can reduce your fat is by doing aerobic exercises. During activities like swimming, rowing and walking, enough oxygen is supplied to the body to burn fat. Fat is burned from all over the body, including the stomach. The best excersise for burning fat from the stomach is to excersise a low fat low carbohydrate diet, and to do at least thirty minutes of calistenics everyday.
You must also do crunches, but not just traditional crunches; you must do a reverse crunch and jack knfes. The excersise ball is a fun way ro do crunches.

Running works best.
Most people just can't start up running. So I would walk for about 30 mins a day to start. Then walk 20 and run 10, then you'll get you'll get up to 30 mins of running and with a proper diet you should get rid of that fat around the tummy.

Cardio is the best, people burn fat from different parts of their bodies in different order. So you may notice other areas losing weight before you notice your tummy, but cardio is the way to go. I use Billy Blanks BootCamp Elite (TaeBo), it's a lot of fun and has a good variety of routines. Best of luck!

jogging or running is good, then stomach sit ups/ crunches will help foucs on the area and build up the muscles.

It'll take a while but you'll notice a difference when doing the sit ups everyday. always take it easily at first then build up the number of sit ups you do.

I'd say everyone will tell you to do sit ups. They actually do tone you up. Or get one of those big exercise balls, lie down on the floor raise your legs 90 degrees put the ball in under the legs and then lift and lower your legs towards you tummy.

Its not possible to "spot reduce", meaning you can't choose where your body loses the fat from. But any cardiovascular workout will help you burn fat. Kickboxing is a fantastic total body workout, and great for the abs too!
