I'm not a Christian because I'm going to Heaven. I found out afterwards that that is one of the benefits. I always thought I'd go to Heaven because I am a good person.
I became a Christian because I thought it would help me in my life here on Earth to have God along with me. God was wooing me and did whatever He could to get me. I just responded. I may have done it for self rightious reasons, but my love for God has decreased the self-righteousness.

Sure I want to go to Heaven, but I'm not in Christianity for self-righteousness. No matter what I do, I'm still not good enough to get into Heaven. It's because of God's gift of Salvation that I will be going to Heaven. And everybody is entitled to that gift.

Heaven and Hell were man creation so as holy scriptures were written by ancient people to control the masses.
If one promise $1 million to a suicide mission, it might not works. But it works most of the time when they are promise rewards in heaven.
What would an idiotic suicide bomber gains when his body was blew in pieces? Allah going to fix him a dick for the 72 virgins?
Apparently sex is the greatest happening in heaven? When your earthly dick are gone...Martyrdom is suppose to be doomed in Hell...

I bet there are lots of people who claim to be Christians that are just in it for fire-safety and i guess most are just trying to be good. then yea, there in it for self-righteous reasons. But the good news is God is the judge not us. He can see into the souls and hearts of those who claim His name and see if they are real or fake. Check out this verse, "Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord,Lord,shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matt.7:21 Of course if you call on Him in repentance and truth He says,"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
God saw "good" (only) x 6 in Genesis 1.
But 7th time God saw "very good" (better).
Law is good, but it is also evil.
Grace better, as it's never evil.
Our Father, deliver us from evil: Mt 6:13
We are delivered from the law: Rom 7:6
What remains is global awareness of it.
For God our Saviour will have two things:
All men saved AND all aware what from: law.

The "worse"-end state of man is mentioned in NT;
And notably involves "seven spirits" more wicked.
But the word "worst" is not mentioned in the NT.
So there's still hope for worse-end state of man.
He that endureth unto the end(written),
shall be saved(only) ... by grace(only):
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I am a Christian because I believe in God and accepted Jesus as my saviour. I want to live a good life and put positive energy out there. Yes I want to go to heaven but that's not why I'm a Christian. I'm a Christian because I have faith and believe that Jesus died to save me from my sins. I owe it to Him to live my life the best I possibly can.

You have to know Jesus to get into Heaven. If you do, you know it's not about Heaven or hell. You long to be with the God who made you in His image. If you don't want to know Him on earth, why do you want to spend an eternity with Him?

I'm in it to be a good person. If someone were to prove to me tomorrow, beyond a doubt, that everything I believe in was false, I would still live life as a Christian because it's a good way to live. The world would be a better place if everyone did.

That's why I have a problem with christians calling it a "free" gift.
If it was a free gift then there wouldn't be consequences to refusing the gift.
Christianity is based on fear. Either except the "free" gift or go to hell for ETERNITY.
It's like getting mugged. Either give me your money or i'll shoot you. What kind of choice would you call that?

I am a christian because I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He gave his all for me and you. And for the rest of my life I will live for Him alone giving Him all my love. And when I get to Heaven i'll do this for all eternity.
