Delilah is often depicted as an evil temptress who persuaded Samson to tell her the secret of his strength. However, a lot of people seem to forget the fact that the Philistines were the enemy of the Jews, and Samson was sleeping with the enemy! If anything, Samson brought his downfall upon himself. Also, there are two lessons to be learned from this story: don't sleep with the enemy and don't think with the wrong head.

I agree with you sister!
The Bible was written for men, by men!
We want a female friendly version!
A woman commits the first sin, a woman asks for the head of John the Baptists, a woman leads King Solomon to his demise!
It's chauvinist filth!

Obviously, the Philistines were the real enemy in this story, as the subjugators of Israel; Delilah was just the hired gun. Samson was a poor judge of his people, by all accounts an arrogant, egotistical, foul-tempered letch who allowed himself to be led astray by his hormones. Really, no one is innocent in this story.

Yes, I think the same as you do that Delilah has gotten a bad rap due to the way the Bible tells the story. Maybe we can have it changed by writing to the people that investigate the stories.

That is very true, Samson was just as wrong as Delilah and he received his consequence.
