Why do I have to be a Chrisitan to believe in God? What gives Christian's a monopoly on what's right and wrong for an idividual? I think the belief in God is just that why do i have to believe in Jesus or any other religion for that matter?

You don't have to be a Christian to believe in God. You can believe whatever you want to believe. Follow what feels good and right for you. We all have our different take on things. Who knows who is right or wrong? You'll never know until you're dead and gone, and even then there is no guarantee. Live a good life, be good to yourself and others. No one truly has a 'monopoly' unless you let them.

That's the great thing about being human, we have agency and choice to do what we choose. If you believe in "God" then it is difficult not to believe in a Savior, whether that be Jesus or someone else. If on the other hand you believe in "god", then it doesn't matter what you believe, and just because you don't believe in Jesus doesn't been you will be damned or whatever. It is not a Christian's right to judge you or anyone. So, believe what you will, understanding to each action there is a reaction.

there are many types of 'Gods' so technically you don't need to be christian to believe in 'God'... and you only HAVE to believe in Jesus if you decide you want to be a christian. christians don't have a monopoly on what's right and wrong. they just choose that lifestyle, and yes, while sometimes they do try to impose their views onto other people, they really aren't doing anything wrong. there's nowhere that says you HAVE to be religious or believe in anything. well i'm sure there is somewhere that says that, but everybody is entitled to make their own decisions about life. the Pascal wager says something along the lines of - if you choose to believe in God and he's real, then hooray for you, you get to go to heaven etc, and if he turns out to not be real and you believed in him, then ohwell.. you believed in something that was a lie, but really there's no terrible consequences. however, if you don't believe in God and he turns out to be real, well.. you're screwed, if he isn't real and you didn't believe in him well it really won't affect you in the slightest...

You don't. If you feel the need for a religious affiliation, shop around, do some homework and go wherever that takes you. If you wanna kick a few tires in the Christian car lot. I think CS Lewis is an interesting read (not the children's books). The guy started out an atheist and is more into thinking than bible thumping.

You may believe what you wish on this earth, but afterwards you will face reality and have to suffer the consequences.
The TRUTH is that Jesus is the Lord and owner of this planet and we must take him into account as God. This is not a religion as there are many, this is settling accounts with the one and true God of everything..
So you may believe what you wish then you will be judged whether you want to or not according to what you have chosen to believe.

You don't have to be a Christian to believe in God. Even evil spirits believe in God.
To be a Christian is to be guaranteed salvation. Believing in God isn't enough to get one into heaven because they never knew or had a personal relationship with the Lord. I believe we get our character from God so this would mean that we would like to be close with our loved ones. So the same with God. Only we are His loved ones and Christ was a sacrifice He made to demonstrate His love for us. He hopes we will accept Christ,His son,so that we can join Him in His heaven someday.

You don't HAVE to believe anything. Faith cannot be coerced, although some people have tried-causing untold suffering on millions of other people. Faith is something you have by yourself, for yourself. You can be born into a faith, but you don't have to accept it. It's up to you to decide what to believe and what not to believe.

Christians will tell you that "no one comes to Father except through me". Other religions will tell you they're right and others are false. Make up your own mind.

You don't have to be a Christian to believe in God. Jews and Muslims also believe in the same God. No one is forcing you to practice any religion. If you just want to worship God, then do it in your own way.

You can believe in God alone, but only by admitting the Jesus is his son and the one and only Lord & Savior can you actually get into heaven.
Why do you think God gave us the ability to make our own decisions? He didn't want to force us to accept him. He wanted us to figure it out for ourselves.

There is absolute truth whether you want to believe it or not. It is easier to just live life by what "feels" good or right, but there is truth out there that must be followed.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." --Jesus Christ
