I think in this situation it should be fifty-fifty. And tell your friend to cut down on the drinking

to be honest with you, depending on how good of a friend he is you might want to get a lawyer. I study Krav and one of the first things I learned was that if I were to get into a fight I can only do something back if my life is extremely threatened and even that I could get sued. all the prosecuting team would have to do is show what you or anyone that is trained can do and you'd be paying through the nose. I would sue you cuz I know I'd win. But you should pay for his dental work anyways cuz unless he was grinding on your chick or slapping you around to the point where you were unsure of your own safety there is no reason to escalate the situation by busting his face in.
And if you were trained in MMA using a restraining move (bar arm, carotid, goose neck or any sort of soft tissue manuever) would have sufficed.

Yes you must pay. Especially if you fight professionally or semi pro/ for a living. He could EASILY sue you and the judge would make you pay or you could get arrested if he wanted to press charges.
It was assault. Pay for it. Maybe take him to a dental school in your area, it will cost less. But if he refuses to go to a dental school then you must pay for whatever dentist he chooses, that is the legal and moral thing to do. Just pay the dentist directly and not him. Go with him to the appointment.

I really don't want to be offense, But if #2 has done so many bad things, why are you her friend anyway? And, tell #2 the hard truth but nicely, but you have to get #1's permission first. And if #1 says no get away from the situation.

if he is a good friend im sure he would accept half if you offered that. after all he started it but you did the damage. if there are witnesses he may call on them if you dont pay anything and take it to a court which is gonna cost a lot more.
hope you sort it out and stay friends though.

well if he takes you to court he will win whether he was drunk,,you should of realized he was drunk and ignored him....Your lucky he didn't cll the police because you wouldn't be here to ask your question,,,,goodluck on this and if i were you and if you wanna keep the friendship i'd pay...And the fact you are a mma fighter you should of had better control on yourself....

If you put your hands on your friend first (you threw the first punch) you might as well pay for the teeth now or you will eventually be paying court cost too.

Yes, you should pay for it and in most states if you live together its called domestic violence and you go to jail, if you don't live to gather then it's assault and if that's how you resolve your differences you need to get professional help. no one deserves to be physically abused..and its time to end the realtionship

So? Fighting is NEVER right.

Yes, you have to pay. He was drunk--supposedly you weren't? So you should have known better.

If he is your friend, offer to share in the cost, if he truly did start the fight with you.
