My husband plays almost every day then plays cards at the country club after playing golf. He has a 1 handicap and played for the first time this summer in the state individual play, he is in 4th place in his age devision. And please don't recommend that I play with him, can you imagine someone that is not that interested playing with someone as good as he is...not fun.

its called,,,,,, find another man who can come over and please you while he is gone...... DONT TELL ME YOU HAVENT THOUGHT ABOUT IT!!! he's cheating on you, just with a sport, its no different, you have needs to ya know. If your not up for some extra fun action... then join some type of club or get into a craft or general hobby.. then you can be like "nope sorry, im to busy for you to hun," when he comes home... But, then again, MEN will always get another girl to fill a void, so maybe that isnt a good idea. I vote for another man to fill his spots when he isnt home... trust me plenty of men would DIE to be a back up.

I'm not a Golf widow but I am a football widow. My Hubby trains 4 times a week at the club and then plays a match once a week. I love it when the season ends but then he goes into over drive trying to get fit for the next season..

It is just the other way around with me. I don't play well but I love the game. I go as often as I can. I would rather my husband not go because he does not enjoy it as much as me and is very frustrated that I am better than him.
Oh well dad and I will take my kids and go.

Don't worry about playing. Go along to cheer and watch and become a heck of a caddy. Learn how the game is played and understand the dynamics.

You could go with him sometimes whether you play or not, just to be with him. Sports is an addiction for many people so he has to be willing to deal with it, if you haven't you need to tell him it bothers you how much he's at the country club.
