You don't really get over it. And life is never the same. It feels like you're not moving on but you really are...you can't expect things to be the way they were, but accept the way it is and the loss becomes part of your future as well.

Do it for your cousin....live your life to the fullest in honor of your cousin who died. Getting over a death in the family is extremely difficult especially if you were close. I lost my Dad a couple yrs ago and a best friend the same year. All I know is that we are still here and we have to go on with life....it's what they would want us to do. Time will make the pain a little duller but I don't think you ever really get over losing someone you love.As I said, live your best life in honor of your cousin...this should give you the energy and courage you need to move on.

it is very hard to get over a loss. my husband passed away in april, and it is very hard. time doesnt heal all wounds, but will make them bearable. just know that your cousin isnt feeling any pain, and would want you to be happy. everyone deals with grief in different ways, so dont let anyone tell you your not moving on fast enuff. take it one day at a time. if you feel like crying, do it. let it out, and then go on with your day. life has to go on, as different as it will be from now on. the only thing that ever stays the same in this life, is change.

It's so hard to get over losing someone...my sister was killed in a car accident when she was 16 and it was the most horrible thing I've gone through. Yes, time does heal, but I guess I finally had to realize that my sister would have wanted me to keep on living and doing the things I did before and I'm sure that is what your cousin would want you to do.

You never really get over death of someone you love, but over time you accept that they are no longer with us. Time helps heal, talking about it to a close friend is good also, try not to hold it in, I used a professional counselor, that helped a bit.

Actually you don't, because that void will always be there. Enjoy your life and as time passes on the pain will lessen, I am not going to tell you it goes away; because it may not, but as time passes you learn to deal with it more.
Hope this helps

i feel sorry for you...its never easy to lose someone we love in our family...
i have had several personal experience also..so, i'd like to share it here with u..
umm...i hope u believe in God almighty..
cos the first is..keep yourself close to God..
then..learn to accept your losing feeling..
remember all the good time you'd had been with your cousin...
remember all his/her laugh..tears...and all you got together when he/she was around.
well..we dont have power for live/death...we all must face it anyway and anytime..
but we have the power to overcome all grieve...and acceptance of all our tears.
i hope you would feel better from time to time...
God bless u...
