I know that there's such things as 'finishing pads', but can I remove it with anything that you might find in the home?

Yeah. Take it to the pawn shop. They'll throw you a few bucks for it.

I work with metal all day and I am hard pressed to think of something that would actually scratch titanium. It would have to have been another ultra hard metal like carbide or something like a diamond or ruby which are also extremely hard. Are you sure it is titanium? I wouldn't use a finishing pad that might actually do more damage than good. Maybe a little and I mean a little rubbing compound might work. I would just leave it alone though. Make sure you actually have titanium though.

Titanium,? Now that is really hard to scratch .
I have a titanium led light ,Used it for years its been thrown about
in and out of a tool box ,all sorts of misuse and its completely unmarked.
I think you have been ripped off. Take it back.

I would take it to a jeweler to see if they can professionally buff it out.

Most things at home would be too coarse.

you can buff it with a dremel tool and a polishing bit..or take it to the local watchsmith and have them do it.
