"How to tame English fluency"
• And how to transform yourself... from a hesitant speaker... into a fluent debater.
You know English. You write good English. But do you speak it — with true fluency? Easily, continuously and without unnecessary

"WHY is it that most of those who even have a master's degree in English find it difficult to express their thoughts, ideas and feelings in fluent spoken English, though they do it without much difficult in written English?
"Prof. Kev Nair, an eminent scholar of international repute and a renowned English language lexicographer, goes into this question in depth and comes up with clear answers in Fluentzy, a series of twenty definitive books on the subject authored by him. These 20 self-study books, as a set, constitute a dedicated system of fluency building."

First, tone, volume and influx should be gentle and soft. An accent is perfectly fine and does not harm anything, but use good diction and pronounce each word clearly. Try not to raise your voice to a high pitch, but keep it flowing softly. Read a lot if good English books, not JUNK books, but literate classical English. This will help you begin to think in good English. and will also help you write in proper grammar English. Perhaps, get a grammar book so you can understand sentence structure. Best wishes with your success of the English language.

In addition to some of the above suggestions, I would recommend joining a group called Toastmasters International. That is a group that helps people learn to be confident public speakers. They will also help a great deal with things like diction, enunciation, and poise. I commend you for wanting to sound more formal and fluent...this will only help you when the job market rolls around for you in the next few years.

1)Gather Vocabulary, gather words, read lot of WORD power books, Theasaurus.
2) Whatever tone, make it your own tone, that is the best tone.
3) These tips are for fluency, you need more words so they come out very fast and easy from your mouth.

Confident English.
Never think about the way you are speaking, dont be conscious, just let yourself loose. Keep your mind only on the things you want to say. Dont close yourself by thinking I am using this tone or not using correct words or whatever, keep your mind on the conversation not on sounds or words.
This practice will give you confidence, do some confidence building exercises in front of MIRROR.

When you speak English ,you must speak as the English speak. So,you must try to speak in really english accent,at least as best as you can.For increasing your fluency and overcoming your hesitation,do speak with people and students who have fluency in speaking english in addition of good accent. That would help you a lot.

You mean with an english accent? yes. Most people, including me, feel much more comfortable with it. Just make sure it's a plesent accent... like Kent or Hampstead...not Yorkshire.... (jk Yorkshire's cute)
