Trust her but be careful. If she lets you doubt her love for you. Speak again to her to clear things up. It is an honest mistake. I did that to one of friends. I was so caught up in the conversation that I called him by my bf's name. He was flattered but he knew that it ended there because I love my man. Relax, she loves you man.

Wow, now don't get carried away! Your first reaction may well be anger and suspicion, but think about that- is that what you want it to be? Honestly, it may just be an honest slip if your names are similar. Why does it have to mean she's cheating on you or something so dramatic? Here's an expression for you- when you hear hoofbeats, look for horses, not zebras. Now if you love her, and she loves you, and there is nothing else going on to raise your suspicions, then why not let this simple thing go? Give her a break!

You've never made that mistake?
It might be a problem if it's a daily thing.
You know she loves you so it's not a big deal right? I wouldn't be upset.
I've done it for years and I flubbed with my dog's name too, how bad is that? Accidentally is the key word. She just may have too much going on in her head or her mouth can't catch up to her brain.

It has happened to me and I did not make a big deal out of it. My gf (at the time) called me her ex's name twice in one evening. Had it been during an intimate time I may have handled it different, but it was just in conversation. I know she was with him for a long time and as creatures of habit, we say and do things that were a habit. We are married now and do not call each other our ex's names any more, but even if she did, I would just rest assured that I know she chose me and she is with me.

When I was working I would sometimes call my husband by my boss's name. I was in the office 8 hours a day so I guess it was natural.

My husband thought it was funny..

I also sometimes answered the phone as though I was still at work.

Give your girlfriend the benfit of the doubt and unless there's real evidence of her cheating....just laugh.

If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't accept it-at all! It seems to me that something must be going between your girlfriend and that other guy. Talk to her, ask her some questions about the other person. If all doesn't go well, leave and move on! Besides, you deserve a whole lot better than that!

People make mistakes it happens all the time. At least she miscalled your name while on the phone and not at a little more private time. She said his name while talking to you because for whatever reason he was on her mind....

I did this once to my old boyfriend. To be honest, I thought my old boyfriends friend was super hot, and we weren't that serious at the time. I never did anything with him, but I thought he was cute, and I called my ex the wrong name 4 times. Watch out, she might have feelings for that guy, maybe she speaks with him the same way she speaks with you?

Ask her about it.

,I HAVE DONE THAT, BY MISTAKE TO MY BF, NOW HUBBIE. I THINK I WAS MORE UPSET THEN HE WAS. TO BE HONEST IF YOU TRUST HER YOU SHOULD TAKE INTO MIND SHE MIGHT HAVE JUST MADE A MISTAKE AND BEEN ON THE PHONE WITH SOMEONE NAMED THAT NAME OR LIKE IN MY CASE MAD AT A CO WORKER AND NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO HIM WHEN HE ASKED ME A QUESTION AND IT SLIPPED OUT. IF THIS IS SOMEONE YOU TRULY CARE ABOUT THEN TRUST IS THE KEY.

If he is handsome and suave then it is a natural mistake as the perfection she sees sort of blinds her at times. Women are dazzled by brilliant men.
