What do you find more comfort in? Spirituality or religion?

Some doctrines included in religions lose the very essence of sprirtuality in the process. I find that atheist spiritualists can give more peace than most religous persons. Why is this?

Both directs us to the source of LIGHT.I choose spirituality over religion for the former gives me the truest meaning of my faith and my life (that is to say not being influenced by outside forces) while the latter is the extenal manifestation of our belief which is affected by outside forces.

Religion is a joke. Look at how many wars are in "God's" name. If you ask me, I don't find that very spiritual at all. Besides, spirituality is far better than any religion because it's your faith, no one elses.

Religion is usually more external, spirituality is more internal. Ideally, the two go together.
Spiritually is more meaningful to me.

Religion is following a bunch of rules. I have a relationship with Jesus, it's not about religion.
