I work out with a trainer in the morning. I need to get something in my system for energy but can't eat that early. Suggestions?

Why can't you eat that early? That's what your body needs - food for fuel and energy. A bowl of oatmeal is great. If you can't eat that much have some fruit and yogurt with some granola.

Take high fiber foods about 2 or 3 hours before getting exercise. Oat, bread, juice, pasta, fruit like banana or energy bar are among the good foods you can eat before exercise.

just drink water in the morning. you don't want anything heavy in your stomach before working out. or you can try green tea. that will give you tons of energy. ask your trainer what he/she suggests.

I work out very early as well - before work. I've started taking Creatine Monohydrate - which energizes my muscles for the workout - and it helps me get bigger too (a little, anyway) and heal faster.

I would suggest that you have a good breakfast before workout - that always gets me going.

Ideally one should not eat anything before a work out; but if you wish you can eat porridge made of oats (not too much) very good for metabolism and burning cals quickly. After work out eat remaining porridge/ cereal/milk,fruits. Drink lots of water first thing in the morning- it flushes out the toxins in body.
