I personally think that there are lots of reasons why guys flirt with women. The main reason for 99% of them of course is...
1. SEX
Although you have some rare and wonderful guys who truely do want something more like the following:
2. Relationship
3. Family
4. Companionship
5. Fun
6. Compatibility
7. Attraction
There are lots more reasons, of course. They could want any number of things. I've even met a few guys who flirt with girls they don't even like because they honestly believe that every woman should feel attractive and special once in a while. There are some really great reasons to do it. Sometimes it's just a case of... the guy needing to feel special and attractive and if a girl they think is pretty flirts back, that makes them feel wanted.
Just about everyone in the world wants and needs to feel desired, attractive, wanted, that sort of thing and most usually flirting is the safest and most harmless way to do so.
Some people of course will take it too far, but then those are the ones you want to stay away from.
