Of course its moral. We all have our own opinions. And when we give an opinion we should only expect someone to challenge it. I would hate for everyone around me to agree with me ALL the time. And when people challenge each others opinions it creates new ideas. Many people cant even explain whey they have the opinion they have on something. I'd rather voice my opinion as well then just agreeing with their uneducated one.

freedom of speech is moral. people should have the right to voice their opinions no matter whom it offends. to say, "well, people should be allowed to say things only if it doesn't offend anyone" is anti-free speech.

i do no understand this dichotomy you've presented. "voicing opinions over the opinions of others" and "building on the ideas of others" have nothing to do with each other. it's not as if they're mutually exclusive, and they certainly aren't the only two options.

opinions should be voiced and discussed in the appropriate, informal setting.

keep them out of the workplace

team work is best, but you can always try and help others understand your ideas.

so I should think that both are good, just as long as you dont get carried away
