Yeah just start getting her to drink an hour ahead of time. But like the first lady said, make sure the office is running on time. I had to do that for an ultrasound when I was pregnant and I had to go to the bathroom so bad and the doctor ended up being late , etc..I thought I was going to die..lol So I can imagine that would be horrible for a 6 year old if they didnt take her in on time.

This is something hard even for a grown up, what I would suggest is to get to the hospital early. Start giving him juice and water there, when he says I have to go pee pee, tell him, baby you have to wait a little bit, can you hold it for mommy? Since he is this young, you might want to advise the nurse that he needs to go to the bathroom and see if there are ready to give him the test. Just give him the liquid at the clinic or hospital, and give him some toys to play with. Since he will be in a environment not familiar to him, he might be able to hold it a bit longer than usual.
I wish you and your 6 year old, the best, hoping that this test ends in just a routine test only. God bless you both.

give her a quarter of a can of coke half an hour before the appointment. Its a diarrhetic will go through her system and it doesnt need to be water for ultrasounds, just a liquid. I know because I used to book appointments for a diagnostic imaging place.

I agree with the first answer, but just in case I would take a extra outfit and under garments. You never know. That is soooooo hard on a little one. I'm so sorry she is having to go through that!
