Ive got a item made of steal or iron, with the numbers 65828 on but i dont what it is, I know its train Memobila, but cant find anything on the net to tell me what it is.

Please help

An intriguing question. Can you provide some description of the piece? Dimensions, shape or contour will help. Does it appear to be a tool, perhaps?

If we have this knowledge chances of identifying that piece will improve, so add details when you can.

It sounds very much like a steam locomotive smokebox number plate. If this is the case, it will have come from a British Railways Eastern Region loco. Although I do not currently have access to my reference books, it is my guess that the loco was LNER number 5828 prior to nationalisation.

It sounds like an engine number, presumably black with white numbers, the link doesnt work but I would be interested in knowing more
