Best of luck to you today! My thoughts will be with you!
My worst day was about 3 days after treatment.
I was very tired and anxious.
Make sure you drink LOTS of water every day. Be sure to take the anti-nausea meds as prescribed. They help a lot.
I had very little nausea.

I just started chemo 1 1/2 weeks ago for breast cancer. I took the nausea medication like my doctor said to and had no nausea. The 2 and 3rd day was when I was very tired. I really hope the rest of the treatments go as smoothly as the first round.
Good luck and God bless you!

If you've ever been pregnant and suffered morning sickness, it's kind of like that, you may get mood swings, constiptation... But just like as soon as the baby is born and they put that perfect little being in your arms, you forget all the discomfort and for everyone the experience is different. Some respond better than others to certain chemo drug protocols, my body didn't like Taxotere but tolerated Taxol a little better.

I was blessed by having a very strong support group and a sister who had also gone through breast cancer with a great sense of humor that helped keep my spirts up.

May I suggest you make sure you have a good raport with your oncologist and the staff so you can ask questions and get honest answers.

If you want to talk to someone whose been there and done that, let me know. Your more than welcome to bend my ear.

I had 7 treatments so far (1 to go) and except for trush after the 2nd all I felt was tired and achy, like the flu. I had acid reflux bad (from the steroids). Other than that I didn't have much. No nausea. Take the meds like you are told , drink , eat what you want and rest. Call the doc if you feel bad, they have all kinds of tricks for all sorts of things. Sorry you had to go on this ride !

I felt like I had the flu about 2 days after treatment. My scalp hurt as the hair follicles were dying, my joints hurt, my lips peeled, but all in all it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I never threw up but I took my anti-nauseous pills like clockwork. Stay ahead of it, that's the best way to go. Good luck!
