I really like this guy who goes to my school and I really like him but he is no were near my type I am Indian, black and white and I go for the gangsta type if you know what I mean but any ways he is a loser but I really like him and I don’t know why. has anybody else been in this situation

Why does he have to be your type? You're still stuck in that "click" world in high school. Get yourself out of it and date this guy. And if you mean by "loser" that he is a dork and really likes school, then that's the kind of guy that is going to grow up and make a lot of money, not the gangsta type.

First of all why are you calling somebody you like a LOSER??? If he's such a loser then why are you sweating him in the first place??? Just because he doesn't act or dress gangsta doesn't mean he's some sort of loser. I guess every guy that doesn't walk around looking, acting, or talking gangsta is a loser to you. Why in the world would you want a gangsta wannabe anyway??? That mess is played out and they look absolutely crazy in those clothes, and the way they so call carry themselves. To answer you question, you like this guy because he's attractive. It's as simple as that.

Maybe you like him because he is a nice guy. Maybe you like him because you know he is good for you.
The questions you should be asking are not why you like him, BUT why do you like "the gangsta type"? Why do you care what people think so much? If you love someone, isn't that enough - do you need the approval of peers to love?
You might be surprised, but nice guys are WAY better than gangstas... they treat girls nicely, with respect, and probably won't break your heart or treat you like property.
This is better than most "gangsta types" who are very insecure males who look to women as property that exists to please them. They may be flashier and give you more "drama" in your life, but "gangsta types" are TROUBLE. You know this.
Think about it, five or ten years from now, wouldn't you rather have a NICE GUY who is a GOOD HUSBAND AND LOVER who takes care of you and your kids? Or would you prefer to have to take your kids to prison to see their cool "gangsta" dad?

It happens, why are you fighting it so much, he must be your type if you think your in love. People change and so do types, there has to be something about this guy that you are attracted to. Maybe that is your new type of guy. Try not to limit your self becuase of what you think you like, if you want to date this guy, go for it!!! There is no problem here, if anything your lucky that you have found a guy that you like, now hopefully he likes you too. Good Luck.

Sure, I've been attracted to guys who are not even close to my type. Its just chemistry. I remember Sex and the City having an episode on it- something about guys you like/sleep with who you would never introduce to your friends. Its common. Unfortunately, I feel that many potential couples never end up together because one person feels that they SHOULD be with someone else who is more their "type". You just have to figure out whats most important to you- there is no wrong decision.

If you are in the same situation that I was in, your going beyond type and caring about people. You said,"I like the gangster type" and "he's a loser." Those are preconceived types. Loving someone is about them, as they are and not stupid labels. You care for him cause of him. That's good.

Chemistry...that is what it is. You have chemistry...and that can be very, very powerful...and sexy. Go for it. It might well be the best you ever had. Who cares if he isn't a gangsta type...that is going "out" anyway. What makes you happy is what matters.

just cause he gets good grades doesnt make him a loser. He will be laughing at the "winners in 5 years making 100 grand. Go for him.

you might be starting to grow up, and seeing the person behind their image...
the 'gangsta' kids, are just that, kids... they need to grow up... this 'loser' as you put it, i'm sure it much more mature, and will probably treat you much better then some punk...
