You COULD use the full version of Adobe Acrobat, but why - it is SUPER expensive. Get eCopy Desktop, it is cheaper, and you can get a 45 day evaluation version here: http://www.ecopy.com/eval/Products_eCopy_Desktop_Evaluation.aspx

You can over convert a file into PDF format provided you have Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Acrobat Reader only allows you to view PDF files.

You can't do it since adobe acrobat reader only reads pdf files.
You would need the full adobe acrobat software to do the conversion.

you need to get adobe acrobat (full version) not just the reader
the reader reads
the full version reads pdf files and lets you make them.
you make pdf files by doing into your normal program, wheter its word, excel, access, powerpoint, intenet explorer, etc. and then you press print. but instead of printing to your computer you change the printer and select it to the acrobat distiller
