I recently told my best guy friend that I was in love with him. He told me that he only felt friendship with me, maybe alittle more, but it felt forced. This past week, I met a guy and we've spent some time together and I like him. I told my friend this and now, he is acting like a butthead to me. He says he doesn't have feelings for me, but why is he acting like this? Before this, sometimes he would make me feel like he had feelings for me. Help me!!!!

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

Okay guys are crazy in the head I know... When you told him your true feelings he probably got caught off gaurd and didnt know what to say. He does care about you as a friend and when he says maybe more that means he never thought about it before but know that you mention it, I could possibly love you too, you know what I mean? If it felt forced then obviously hes confused. Now you have found a guy. When you did this it totally threw the other guy for a loop. Here you are pouring your feelings out to him and you go find another dude. At this point he does understand what you are trying to do. He is thinking that you are trying to make him jealous or maybe he just likes you and doesnt want to see you with another guy because it makes him feel jealous. My advice is... If you like your friend enough to try to get him then I would back off a little bit from the new guy and see what the friend does. Talk to him and see what his deal is whether he wants to be with you and try it out or if he doesnt, then go back to the other dude and make the friend jealous as hell and that will show him.

He probably felt at the time that he wanted to be just friends and that he did not want to ruin your friendship. Now that he sees that you moved on it got him to think if he did not make a mistake. I suggest that you speak to him again and tell him that he should be honest on how feels for the both of you. As he got everybody confused. This time it won't feel forced. Best of luck amigo,

If he is your best friend, talk to him about it. Only he has the answer you need. It could be jealousy - maybe he didn't realize how much he liked you until you told him, and had time to think about it.
Maybe he just doesn't like this guy....does he know him?
The only way to get an answer is to ask him, and if he is your best friend...it shouldn't be a prob.

this probably means that he did have feelings for you and didnt want to tell you cause he felt like shy at the time. and im sure when he told you that maybe a little more that means that if you just give him time then maybe he will see that you are a good person and that he will want to be ina relationship later on!

You best guy friend is playing hard to get basically. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. Move on with the new prospect you have in your life and things will get better from there. You won't be missing out on a thing with your best guy friend

he is probably trying to be a pimp hes probably seeing someone on the otherside to decide which one he likes best you or her. He doesnt want you to go off and lose interest in him because he has interest in you , he just doesnt want to admit it. But i suggest you go for it. Get another man obviously if hes getting mad because you found love in someone else then that means he doesnt want you to go yet. .... BUT HES NOT DOING ANYTHING IN RETURN. Tell him you tried to give and show him your love but he wouldnt take it. So say another man has it. We can be friends like you said. And i bet you hell think before he says it again to someone else

It sounds like he may be jealous. But you said that he said he only felt friendship towards you . Try asking him why he is acting like that and remind him of what he said to you.

seems lyk ur guy friend dusnt know. hes prob rlly confused himself. the fact tht u told him tht u loved him made him feel lyk he was the hot topic of the week n tht he ws getin al the atention. seems lyk this guy mite b messin u around. i mean if he rlly lykd u he wudnt b so rude2ya. think of it!
