I have been dating this person for the past 2 months, we both are grown adults – just now he has introduced me to his eldest daughter who is 8. My question is – when a man starts to introduce you to his children, does this mean – he is really having serious thoughts of you? Or is this something I should just take lightly. His daughter kept on asking who am i? He is very protective of his children. In the past – he would tell me stories that he would never introduce any girl that he dates to his children, BUT – then why me? Am I special to him? What can it be? He is 35 w/3 children and I am 28 with one daughter. I have not yet introduced my daughter yet. Waiting for the right moment.

The same thing happened to me. I was dating for the first time after my divorce and the guy I was dating wanted to meet each other's kids. I didn't think it was a good idea because I think you need to make sure things are gonna work first, but he really wanted it. So, we did. Things were good. He was saying he wanted to be with me forever, so I figured, what was the harm, we were going to be together. Then a month later he dumped me for the ex gf. I know he was serious at the time and he also was very protective of his kids. He said I was only the 3rd person to meet them.

From what you said, you can tell that he definitely has feeling for you and would like to take it to the next step by introducing you to his daughter. I think he wanted to make sure that his daughter liked you and vise versa before the relationship go any further. However, I don't think you are ready to introduce hims to your daughter yet because you are not sure were you stand in the relationship. We already know that he cares and he would like to go further with it. Just speak to him and let him tell you exactly what it is that he sees happening in the future. There is no better source than the source it's self.

if he told you in the past that he wouldn't ever introduce a girlfriend to his kids, and he is to you now, then i would think he's thinking of being serious with you...

It is probable that he likes your ideology and your theories. He might have been impressed by you and might have started viewing you more than just a dating friend. He might have thought that you would extending your warmth to his children also.
