Any reason why you want one of these hybrids as opposed to any other type of dog?
Breeding from 2 different breeds means that some of the genetic traits will come from the sire (father) and some from the dam (mother). Thing is, you've no way of controlling which traits come from which parent. As a result, some may look more like a spaniel, some more like a poodle. Some will have more of a poodle temperament, some more spaniel temperament etc. etc.
As long as you are prepared for that.
As for rescue, why not put your details on the "homes offered" section on dogpages. Rescues regularly look at these, and if they have a dog that they think you'd be interested in they can reply on there.

Keep checking the site to see if you get a reply.
Good luck.

I've found a Cockapoo breeder in the UK ... she lives in Essex. Prices for puppies start at £650.
Ooh & the second link is for an advert for puppies, posted on the 24th October, for £750 from a Surrey based breeder.
Must admit they do look cute. Years ago I saw an advert for a Yorkie Doodle (a Yorkshire Terrier cross Poodle) not sure what the puppies looked like but I thought that the name was wonderful.
Good luck!

Just keep a eye out at the re-homming centers you checked at one will show up sooner than later.
As for that wonderful Furreverfriendz.com mentioned by someone as being a wonderful breeder. LOL what a joke they are the perfect example of a right in the middle operation of a BYB and a Puppymiller.

I presume you've heard of this poodle/cocker spaniel cross as they are supposed like labradoodles to be non hair shedding?
Try Kennel club they will have a list of reputable breeders.
To the idiots who said "cocker spaniels are notorious for ill-health and are bad tempered" you've obviously been unfortunate as I have always had these lovely dogs and no problems.
Also to the person who says it is irresponsible to breed.. how do you think new breeds come about? As long as it is controlled responsible breeding for a specific reason and not just profit whats so terible?
Good luck with your search, but as always if you can'y give a rescue dog a home and go to a breeder do your homework first and make sure they are caring breeders...there are good ones around!

I got my mixed breed, a Pekachi, from Lousiana- I live in Massachusetts (so half- a-country away) I know that her breeder breeds Cockapoos and ships them Internationally. Her website is Furreverfriendz.com they are excellent breeders. I'm considering getting a second pup from them. Their site isn't the best but they care about the dogs so much and they can arrange for small dogs to be flown first class not just in the cargo.

keep looking with your local RSPCA and other adoption places.. leave your name on a waiting list.. check newspapers
NEVER pay for a pup of this breeding from a private home - they are breeding mutts intentionally for profit which is uneithical.. if either parent were good quality they would be breeding purebreds.. so the only place I could reccomend is RSPCA.. keep waiting

Cockapoos are mutts.. Cocker spaniels are known for having a ton of health problems and very bad temperaments. And poodles also.
