I've joined every slimming club going, yo-yoed backwards and forwards. I don't want to count calories, points or battle with trying to compute diets. So I don't want to join another diet club. I lan not to eat between meals and to give sweets, cakes and biscuits a miss until my operation. If I eat three meals per day, something like weetabix with skimmed milk, followed by lunch of steamed chicken and vegetables and a dinner of grilled meat with a salad, will I lose weight? For example. I hae to cook for my family. The operation is on my ankle and I think if I need two stone, it'll help my recovery. I don't want to go hungry or spend any time whatsoever worrying about food.

dieting is not recommended before a surgery. anytime your body is deprived of necessary calories, it affects the immune system. if you are sick and/or your pre-op lab work says you are not healthy, your doctor may suggest postponing your surgery. not to say you should gorge on food, but eat well balanced meals with your family. cravings are difficult, but try alternatives to the sugary sweets, like fruit, dried fruit, trail mix, raisins are great for a sweet craving and healthy too. check out the food pyramid website for some great ideas on a healthy balance. good luck!

More meals/snacks of less quantity gets your digestive system working more and so you get more energy from it and lose weight by it, the food you suggested is healthy but obviously different days you should have different foods, green and red peppers and pasta made with spinage help to lose weight, also green tea, diet or not. Im not sure about the grilled meat part. Try drinking fruit juices often but not around the same time as milk. Also use sugar rather than splenda the sugar alternative.. its actually 3 times worse for your heart than sugar. The more you eat the more you r body digests food(losing weight when u go to toilet...), but too much at once can add weight. Try not microwaving anything, and don't have excessive energy drinks. Walking is voted the best form of excersize, but then again so has sex, do whatever you want, just make sure it's something daily.

Im in the military and they offer plenty of ways to get skinny while remaining healthy.
1- get ACTIVE, do something, anything to get your body mobile. you will lose more weight by just getting up off the couch and doing something, playing with kids, or taking in some fresh air.
2-instead of 3 meals a day and counting calories, eat 5-6 meals a day. The meals should be no larger then the palm of your hand. It doesnt matter THAT much what you eat, but of course it cant be snickers bars and chips, something fresh and green, and lots of chicken and fish.
3- stay confident and remind yourself what your goal is. Put up post it notes, write yourself a list of things you want to accomplish each day, week, and month. Set a goal and stick to it, even when the going gets tough.
You can do it.

I've found success by following the Abs Diet for Women, there is also a version for men. It's very simple to follow, no complicated meals or recipes to make. A difference is noticeable in a couple of weeks although this is a six-week plan. This plan allows you to eat whatever you want one day per week. The company gives you the option of reviewing the book for 30 days for free. You may also want to visit your local health food store for a total body cleanser...try a 14day program, I found the 30 day program too long for me to follow. Your body should be ready to accept the new regimen after the cleanse without much resistance. Good luck-I believe you'll succeed :)

Two Slimfast meals a day and a 'normal' but LOW CALORIE meal in the evening and, if you can, if your ankle isn't too bad, gentle exercise. Take it easy at first. Your stomach will shrink but for the first few weeks you will be really hungry. However, surely being able to have the operation is enough of an incentive for you to succeed? Good luck.

It should help you lose weight, also if you can do a bit of exercise (even a bit of walking) this will help you too.
