Well we have all heard of the saying "taken to the cleaners" well man you have certainly learnt the hard way, You gave them as presents £38ks worth? wow what kind of mug are you.If the woman was truly in love with you she would have stopped you spending so much money you didn't have in the first place. or perhaps you didn't have any confidence in yourself. The debt is yours mate, you signed the dotted line you accepted the agreement, I doubt if the credit company will try to get back the goods. I would like to know was it a Jag or a Ferrari OR JUST A BMW.

She sounds like a right cow, shallow money grabbing & selfish, she obviously only wanted u all the time you could spend money on her! A relationship is not all about lavishing gifts on someone its about doing simple things together & being content with it! I dont think you will get anything back now & there is no point in going to her flat if you are angry..it will make you as shallow as her, and you may do something you will regret. I think you need to talk to a Debt management service & get some advice to start paying your debt off. then dont have any thing to do with her again, coz you are worth more than that, just remeber next time your in a relationship that you are in it to make eachother happy, & most girls like to be independant enough to go halves with their man in the relationship when buying things...equality!! hope this helps!! X

Legally there is nothing you can do. (as you used the word 'gift'). You could take her to a small claims court and lie - say that she made a verbal agreement with you that she would pay you back. Or you could blackmail her - perhaps you have some photos of her naked or sex tapes. Or you caould get some of the stuff from her house and pawn it. I feel really sorry for you, please make sure that you do not make the same mistake again!! There are so many women in the world who take advantage of men financially. Its either horrible revenge or forget about it and move on. I would be the better person and forget about it. If you scheme up ways to get revenge you will never get over it. Keep your head held high and remember that what comes around goes around!

Excuse me?? Did this woman twist your arm or threaten you in some way to get all these gifts?? Or did you buy them for her because you wanted to?? Well if you wanted to buy them at the time, then frankly..bad luck!! If your £38k in debt, then you need a little self control and financial education too!!!

I would definately advise you to get the gifts back and return them to where you got them from. Hope you still have the receipts.I can't say too much of the legalities as you gave them to her as a gift but I would recommend you speak to a legal advisor to find out your rights to claim them back. I would not, however, try to get them back yourself, even if you do know where their flat is, as you may get yourself into more trouble.
Have you tried asking her for them back? If not, do so, and soon.
If you have and she won't, then legal advise is the best option. Good luck.

There's not much u can do...just let it go...i hope u brought her the gifts because u loved her...not because u were scared of losing her...and if she was a materialistic gal..she doesn't deserve a nice guy like u...
next time tho..when choosing a gf...do it carefully and kno wat her intentions for a relationship...just take this as a payin a fee for learning a lesson...everyone makes mistakes and u learn from it so next time u won't make the same mistake again
