That will teach you for eating raw fish won't it? As for whale steaks or whale meat they are going to be in very short supply as only the other day I heard that the Icelanic fishermen had just been allowed to kill their first whale for almost 20 years. Wonder how many will look at your answer and think but a whale's a fish before they realise it's a mammal?

Dont be put off by 1 incident, fish is tooo good for you to stop eating it. You should go back and tell the place where you bought it so no one else gets food poisonong and you should also report it to the department of health, it may have been a one off but what if it's not and then they sell more of it? I would advise you to buy your own fresh from a reputable fish monger fish that is fresh smells like the sea but fish that is off pongs so check before you tuckin. Dont know anything about whale meat but I think they should be left alone! they ae mammals and it would be like killing an elephant and eating it!!

no i have no idea sorry.. but honestly, why would you want to eat whale meat?? that is terrible.. i mean, i'm sorry for inflicting my oppinions onto you, but awwww.. whales are such lovely animals, how could you in all good concious eat them?.. im probably just so against it because when i was young i watched a documentary where they were killing and cutting up whales.. it was so awful and sad and it really stuck with me and i've been very pro-whale since then. and also, whales probably would still taste fishy i would imagine.. maybe while you're still feeling put off by fish you should stick to normal meats.. ie. chicken, beef, pork etc.

The fish in sushi is not cooked at all. So if the fish in your sushi was undercooked it wasn't sushi. You should know it is a risk to eat sushi in UK, because fish is frozen rather than completely fresh. I like sushi a lot, and never had any reasons to complain. However, during summer I don't eat it at all, because it might be rotten. I usually eat it at Wasabi, Tokyo dinner (near China Town), or Yo! Sushi (expensive and low portions)

There is no logic to your question fish is fish and whale is mammal as in cow, pig, sheep etc whale meat is also very hish in iron and fats so unless you are anemic and need to build up you choleterol levels it is not a good idea. It atstes a bit like very strong liver and is fibrous. Not that good to eat. Try shark its much nicer and easier to obtain

Depends on your country - mosty countries ban the sale of whale meat. Japan, Iceland and finland are good choices but to be honest.... its not the best tasting thing in the world.

As said before Iceland or Japan but I would urge you not to bother as it probably tastes crap and as whales are an endangered species no-one should be eating them.If however you are successful in your quest I hope you get such a bad dose of food poisoning you S**t out your own intestines.

Whale meat is LOADED with mercury and other heavy metals and pesticides. It's worse than any fish. Don't eat it.
