You have to ask yourself is what I'm about to do really worth it? Say for example eat a piece of cake or something. Sure it may taste great while you're eating it but whatabout afterwards? With that in mind dont think of a diet as a diet. Think of it as a new lifestyle. There are lots of healthy foods out there for you to indulge in. Also, keep in mind that the mind plays tricks on us. So I believe it is important not to always restrict yourself and cheat once in awhile. I say once a week eat whatever you want and have been craving for. Consider that cheat meal a reward for all of the hard work you've put in during the week. But after that cheat meal, it's back to work!
Check out the ABS DIET. You can probably find the book at your local library if you're not interested in buying it. I think it's one of the best and simplest diets out there. Check it out and good luck to you!
Stay Strong!

It is difficult because we have to tell ourselves no when we have said yes for so long.
You must be willing to treat yourself like any mother would treat a 2 year old who is crying for more sweets. you say "No" and then prepare to see yourself have a tantrum. yes, I said tantrum ! As adults, we still have them but normally we don't because we give ourselves what we want when we want it. You may even cry during your diet as you tell yourself "No-this item you want to eat is not apart of your diet nor is it healthy" then get ready to see the tears and the tantrum.
I know this sounds silly but it is true ! See what happens the next time you tell yourself "No." Will you give in or will you fight for your goal and end of crying and having a tantrum but winning.

if all u r doing is - avoiding outside, junk, fried, food or may be refined wheat too, including sweets & desserts then i can surely help u.
just close ur mind or block thoughts about the stuff i have mentioned as some sugar n oils r needed, all u have to do is limit them intelligently.
concentrate on good things like-family, work, books, social work, & yoga(last but not the least)

Personally, I need diets where you lose your appetite like Kimkins or Atkins. I prefer Kimkins because it's lower fat and lower calorie so you lose faster.
Kimkins members discuss motivation tips in various forums and "challenge" threads. Kimkins is a membership site, but you can find free sites if you look.

Self control, will power, and you have to WANT it!
if you don't WANT TO you won't!
seems hard but it is only hard until you have that new habit in place! you may have to rid an old habit!
but hey i quit smoking like 3 weeks ago! and have been a smoker for over 13 years! i quit cold turkey!
so you can do it!

It's not a diet. It's a lifestyle change. Once you adjust to the change it will feel normal, like habit, routine.

It's all about discipline. If you reallllly want to diet and be healthy and lose weight, you can do it. But you have to WANT to do it. I've been eating healthy for 6 weeks now :)

are you doing this for yourself or someone else? if it is for you then you have half the battle won. just keep remembering why you want to lose weight in the first place...ie: seeing kids grow up, health.... keep telling yourself that you are stronger than that food that ya want. also remember if ya get a craving go for it in moderation!!!! good luck to you and remember that you can do this!!!!
