ask the previous owner (the owner of the mother) or you should be able to tell yourself. look a boxer up on the internet does it have the same traits. maybe ask your vet.

Something that would help here is to know why you need to know. This summer we got a Border Collie puppy and decided to persue agility with her. Most of the affiliations will allow non-papered dogs to participate, except the AKC. But I met a woman at the dog park who had rescued a Collie and didn't have papers, but could still participate in an AKC trial. The way she did it is to fill out an application form stating why she felt her Collie was a purebred. Then they looked at her dog and decided it looked to be purebred and gave her the proper paper work to be able to participate. This cost her about $20. The only catch is that the dog must be spayed or neutered if not properly papered.

Not sure why you needed to know, but hope this might be helpful.

I don't believe there is any way to *prove* that a dog is purebred. Registration papers can be falsified, so that doesn't always guarantee it. If the dog looks like all the pictures of Boxers that you see, it probably is a Boxer.

merely using fact a canines is "organic bred", would not propose he's "properly bred". there's a super distinction. A canines it extremely is organic bred might have papers so you might sign in him with AKC or UKC. Any canines could be registered, as long as the two certainly one of it extremely is mom and dad have been registered, it has no longer something to do with how properly the canines meets the breed standards. you ought to have been waiting to view the mum and dad of the puppy (a minimum of the mum) and could have been waiting to get pedigree tips from the owner. A "properly bred" boxer, might desire to consistently appear like a boxer. yet, in case you picked a badly bred canines, learn out of your mistake the subsequent time you flow to purchase a canines. till then, neuter your doggy and experience him!

Obviously he did not come with this AKC registration forms.

Apply for an ILP with the AKC - submit photos etc

If they grant it, most likely his is 100% boxer.

If they say no, then he is not.

legally any pet refered to as "PUREBRED" MUST have registration papers.. any pet without papers cannot be called Purebred
both parents therefore must also be registered....so you would need to talk to the breeder you got the pup from..

If I were to see a photo of it I would know if it is a boxer or not. Please post a link to a picture of him or her if you have one.
