I don't think that you could ever "pray too much". Jesus tells us to pray without ceasing. As you go through the day, and you look around at God's beauty, just the realization that God made it all is a prayer in itself. Prayer can be as simple as, "Lord, keep me safe" or "Thank you God for watching over me". Anything that comes from your heart is prayer.

The Apostle Paul said, "Pray without ceasing..."
Prayer is both an action and an attitude. While difficult if not impossible to pray unceasingly, a constant attitude of prayer is possible and probably is what Paul was basically saying.
I know people who are unceasingly angry or bitter or hateful. Why not maintain an attitude of thanksgiving and reliance upon the Lord throughout the day?

I pray constantly so that I keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. When I'm cleaning, driving, watching a movie i'm always praying, even if its just a quick prayer of thanks, guidance. Before I even roll out of bed i thank the Lord the good nights sleep and say I'm at your will today Lord..I dont think you could ever be oc when it comes to praying..if so i hope i fit in the category

If not required in the religion, why feel compelled? and St. Peter will have no standing to assess anyone at the gate.
If you accept and are in a religion that requires you to pray daily, your feeling will be automatic.
Your question is really a straightforward, simple matter.

No, I've never felt that way at all. My prayer life is not what will get me to heaven, it is my relationship with Christ. It is His work on the cross and my acceptance of it that will get me to heaven, nothing I do at all.
As for praying, I want to pray. I need to pray. I like to pray. But it is not a "requirement" to me in the way you are describing. Sometimes I do fall under condemnation for not reading my Bible enough, or not praying enough, or not paying enough attention at church.
But then I have to stop and ask myself: am I feeling a conviction(which is never a condemnation) that I am growing luke warm in my relationship with Christ?
Or, is the enemy of my soul trying bringing condemnation and guilt on me to drive me away from my relationship with the Only One that can save me.
Maybe you should ask yourself the same thing.

I wish I felt compelled to pray daily.
I like other Christians tend to pray hardest when things are bad in my life or I have a deep worry or problem.
God wants a relationship with us. He wants us to speak to Him and bring him closer to us in our daily lives.
No I think it is absurd that there is going to be St Peter at the pearly gates with some quota that God requires for us to enter Heaven.
That does not frighten me.
What DOES frighten me is judgment. I am adamently Christian AND a wicked sinner undeserving of Christs sacrifice for my life and for His perfect love. And I will be judged by the King of Kings.
Blessings to you on your personal journey.

The bible says pray without ceasing, this means be in an attitude of pray always. God is not so legalistic as to cut someone off for not reaching a certain number. I do pray daily.

praying to me is awesome. not a burden.
it is a privalege, not a job.
it is something i choose to do because i love God and would rather spend time with Him more than anyone else in the world. i love hanging out with God.
God doesnt specify a certain amount of prayers to get you to heaven. thats just silly. Jesus didnt die on the cross to save you from your lack of praying. He died on the cross to save you from the law of sin and death.
the bible says to pray without ceasing. it doesnt mean u have to become a preist and pray every 5 minutes. it just means that you should always be communing with the Holy Spirit within. being aware of His consistent presence with you. Praying often.
I pray every day. more than once. alot actually. in the car, at work (silently as im going about my business) in my home, at the shops... i pray in the quiet times in my room just me and Him, and i pray in public quietly as i go about my day. its not hard, its not something i do because i feel obliged. its something i do, because it brings me joy and makes my life awesome. i do it coz i love to be with God.

Thank you for this question.
As a muslim I am required to pray at least the 5 daily prayers (called Salat). I also pray optional prayers called Sunnah and many different personal prayers Du'a throughout the day. I do this for worship, for glorification of God it does not matter to me where Allah (swt) decides I go after this life, my only intention is to be his willing servant.
And Allah knows best.
Peace and Blessings,
Salim
