I think the knot.com is a great site they also have links for dresses and tuxedos. I was going to get married on the beach too, but we canceled the wedding.
Tips:
*Buy shells by the bags from Michaels craft store, to use for table settings at the reception.
*Try using these shells maybe floating in a pretty bowl for the bride and groom's table.
*blue food coloring will give the water the effect of the ocean.
*Shell necklaces for your brides maids.

Have fun!

I would try J. Crew, online at jcrew.com. This spring they debuted a new wedding shop, and by design all of the dresses are casual but of excellent quality. As some other posters suggested, I would go for a tea-length dress in a light material (silk perhaps). They also have a GREAT selection of bridesmaid and maid of honor dresses - they are offered in a variety of materials and colors. They especially work perfectly if you're interested in trying the new trend of choosing a color or material for your bridesmaids and then letting them each pick the style they want.

For a beach wedding I would go short, knee length, so that the dress doesn't get messed up by the sand, etc. Check with these websites...www.davinci-bridal.com and www.romonakeveza.com...both have fantastic dresses!!

I vote ivory, it could no longer seem as grimy as a white one might, plus it exhibits the info of the dress greater suitable. I say no show, the dress seems effectual devoid of it and you're acceptable that it may get interior the final way, quite if there could be wind!

My friend went off to San Diego and got married on the beach, just her and her guy.

This is what she wore: http://www.richardhsantiniphoto.com/Webalbum/Covyeou/Color/index.htm

It's a shorter dress, simple. She was pretty much able to get into it all by herself. You'll probably want to go with something like this. Nothing too heavy or that can easily get sand trapped in it. You don't want to sweat to death.
