I always cook my pulled pork (shoulder cut) in the crockpot.... I use a fifty fifty mix of BBQ and water, until it nearly covers the meat. (usually about one large bottle of sauce)

Cook on high for about 8 hours.(I think it would be the same for a beef brisket, but you may want to play with the cook time.)

Drain all the liquid before shredding the meat. Serve as is or put it on bulkie rolls. You can add sauce to taste afterward. I use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce.... so yummy!

I would cook the brisket without sauce just salt and pepper maybe a little garlic, Once the brisket is cooked then I would add the bbq sauce.

Hi I usually baste my Steak just enough to cover it and then I put it on it seems to be enough BBQ sauce for them, at lease for me but everybody has their own taste and so I state according to your own taste or like.
