assume that i have the ability to travel time
there was the "i" of yesterday
there is the "i" of today
there will be the "i" of tomorrow
the "i" of yesterday traveled forward time to meet the "i" of today
the "i" of tomorrow will travel back time to meet the "i" of today
so there are 3 "i" today
They are three persons, but actually they are only one being-"i"
They share one nature-the nature of "i".They can communicate with each other. They are three but they also are one
i think because God is above time.so the Trinity maybe like that

It gets worse than 3 = 1.

In John chapter 17 Jesus gives his glory (the same glory he had prior to coming to the earth.) to his disciples.

Jesus also says in this same chapter that we become one with each other just as he and his Father are one.

He said he is in us as the Father is in him

So the trintiy now includes how many billion of Chiristians?

Please notice this reference works.

rs p. 405 pars. 1-2 Trinity ***
The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

*** rs p. 406 par. 1 Trinity ***
In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

(Romans 15:4-6) . . .” 4 For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, the Holy Trinity is probably one of the most convoluted and confusing aspect of the Christian religion. It's one of those beliefs that wasn't specifically written out in the Bible, so it's hard to have a truely biblical references- I see it to be like in the Hindu religion- how gods are able to come to earth in whatever body they choose, so perhaps God came to earth as Jesus, but was practically the same person, much like Krishna was Vishnu... but not at the same time. And the Holy Spirit, to me it's easy to see how that can be a personification of God, it's kind of like moving your hand across the top of the water- the fish below can see the ripples and what effects they cause, but they can't really SEE your hand.

That's just my view on how it's all interrelated, how the Trinity even came about is a much more different and elaborate story (and will actually be a different story depending on who you ask!)

Trinity (or 3-in-one Deities) is a pagan belief transferred to Christendom’s Doctrine. Scriptures have been tampered with, (KJ 1Jo 5:7), and God’s personal name has been removed from the bible text to help sell this false belief. It is not taught in the Bible anywhere. Jesus Christ did not teach it to his followers. It is a difficult, if not impossible concept for anyone to rectify and harmonize with true, important Bible concepts such as the Ransom and the messiah-ship.

Jesus Clearly and repeatedly showed himself to be separate and subordinate to his heavenly father who is named in the Bible several thousands of times, (Jehovah). His apostles consistently manifested a belief in a supreme being who was not the same individual as Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the name of the individual who was transferred by supernatural power to the womb of a virgin to become a perfect HUMAN. He was the very first thing created by the creator. Before becoming human, his very being was exactly the same as his creator’s. His very personality, his goals, his desires, his love, is exactly the same as his father. Everything else created was created by the father but through and with the son. He became God’s spokesman or mouthpiece and that is why he carries the name and title “Word”. He commands all of the armies of angels. He is the authentic “seed” who will champion all of the Creator’s purposes and return the universe to the situation originally purposed by Jehovah God the creator, as the King of God’s Kingdom, (A government with a heavenly seat). He is the Messiah, and the Ransomer who redeemed the lives of all humanity by paying the ransom price lost by the original human pair. He gave his perfect human life to pay that price. He did not pay that ransom price with a Creator’s life or a God’s life. His father, (a separate all powerful individual who was still alive) Resurrected him from death, (Hell) to a life once again as a spirit creature like he was before and sat him on a throne at his right hand to wait until his Kingdom rule was to begin.

Holy Spirit is not an individual personality; it is God’s active force or power.

Christendom will be held responsible for the perpetuation of the filthy trinity doctrine.

Perhaps you can benefit from the brochure in the link below, called Should You Believe in the Trinity? It explores the origin of this dogma, as well as what the Bible really teaches about the Father, Son, and holy spirit.

Some say the trinity is an unexplainable mystery, but in that case why would Jesus tell us that "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, AND OF the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."?

Apparently we can come to know God and his Son; they cannot be some mysterious Trinity.

God is difficult to understand for a human, due to our limited ability to understand (because our experiences on Earth are limited ones). God says we cannot fully comprehend his power and limitless love. But I think of the trinity as an egg. It is an egg; however, it has three parts:the egg shell, the yolk, and the white. It is one egg, with three separate parts. In a way they are all part of each other. Also read John 14: 9-31. Those verses explain it much better than I can.

Also wanted to add, God refers to himself with "We" in Genesis 1:26 and also in Chapter 3. Thus he is referring to the trinity, although it doesn't specifically say the word "trinity" the bible does say that Jesus was with God before he came here to Earth and that the Holy Spirit is from God and comes to live in us after we accept Jesus as our Savior.

In the same way that you are like 3 in one.

1.) You have a body
2.) You have a soul
3.) You have a part of God in you

Which one of these parts is the "one" you?
If you can't answer that question, then you can see why so many people have trouble when trying to understand the trinity with human logic.

This is how they taught me what the trinity was:
Take a hard boiled egg. Take the shell off. Cut it and seperate the white from the yolk. Now, u have the SHELL, THE WHITE and the YOLK. They are individual things but they make up the whole egg.

Also, take marraige:
Two different people come together to become ONE. One mind, one purpose, one spirit. At least, thats how marraige should be.

Within Christianity, the doctrine of the Trinity states that God is a single Being who exists, simultaneously and eternally, as a perichoresis of three persons (personae, prosopa): Father (the Source, the Eternal Majesty); the Son (the eternal Logos or Word, incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth); and the Holy Spirit (the Paraclete or advocate). Since the 4th Century, in both Eastern and Western Christianity, this doctrine has been stated as "One God in Three Persons," all three of whom, as distinct and co-eternal "persons" or "hypostases," share a single Divine essence, being, or nature

If you look at it from a non-religious perspective it's not as weird as it seems.

While you do have to assume that there can be an entity that has a triple-existence going on. It does seem like a bit of SciFi though.

It's sorta like trying to imagine how it would be to have three eyes looking in different directions, you'd have three fields of vision but how would that feel, we've only ever had one. It's not easy to imagine.
