They believed in "Manifest Destiny". It was not only our right but what we were put here for. It had and will continue to be the way of the world. The strong will survive and rule. If anyone thinks that they can change or legislate human nature, then explain to me why it is that if we pass a law, not everyone will obey it.

God and politics is a BAD mix. Our founding fathers came here for religious freedom (so the story goes), but once they got here they found the land wasn't free, so they took it by force. Religion always has some blood on its hands: take a look at the Crusades! I don't get it, either. God is supposed to be Love, not murder. When they fled for freedom of worship, I'm sure God was with them. But God does not condone atrocities such as mass genocide or shedding blood in His name. I don't think. So when people feel that God told them or guided them or sanctioned them to kill another human being, that is Bullsh*t and I don't buy it. They were selfish, ignorant, and malicious. I still say God Bless America but as for our roots, I'm quite ashamed.

Socieities have always been conquered by more powerful societies. Americans conquered the indians. Part of me admits that it is a shame that people had to be killed and kicked out of thier homes. But part of me sees that this is the way of living things. Its natural selection. the same thing happens in a field when a tall species of grass blocks out the sun for a shorter species. Thats life...

The original settlers in the USA, got along with the Indians. If it wasn't for the Indians they would never have survived the winter. It's like everything else others came and power and greed stepped in. To bad they couldn't vote them out of power like we have the chance to do now. How many will do it?

They escaped here for political and religious reasons. In their eyes God was on their side. And he still is. God Bless America.

If they did, they didn't care. They must have felt it belonged to them when they abused so many Natives
