I am a Freshmen in High school and I have this on guy that is a couple inches shorter then me. Well I am 5'6" and he is 5'0". He has asked me out 9 times by himself. He also had my friend Paula and his friend Lee ask me out for him , so thats another 2 times he has asked me out. Yeasterday he asked me out again, but this time he wrote it on a sticky note. " Will you go out with me?" It was just cute. I know he really likes me and ummm.... Well I don't feel the same for him. Anyway the question is should I go out with him? I mean the big problem is his height. He's really nice and I don't wanna lose him as a friend.

if you have no feelings for him, definitely do not lead him on. height is not the issue here, feelings are.

Unfortunately, in this kind of situation there isn't much you can do to spare his feelings. You can speak honestly to him and let him know that you only see him as a friend (just don't mention the "height" issue), and that you feel that dating him will only complicate things for both of you.....because in the end he will be expecting more and more committment from you, and you're just not feeling it. Even if it hurts his feelings a little, you need to be honest with him.....in the end, your conscience will be clear, and at least he'll know that you didn't just flip him off. I always say; "Do the right thing". I hope it works out for you.
Best of Luck!

If you really care about someone height shouldn't matter, it first it may be weird but after a while you would get use to it and want even notice. but if his height is the only thing you gonna think about probably you shouldn't go for it, but if you do you amy be missing something good!

With him also being a freshman, he might still be growing. Give him a chance. The height thing should not be a factor now. You are both young and have time to grow.

Ask yourself...if he was 6ft tall would you be interested in dating him? If the answer is yes, then I think you should give him a chance. You are a freshman...just have fun and don't worry so much about how tall he is. By the way...I have seen many young men have huge growing spurts in their freshmen years.

So what if he is shorter than you? If he is a nice guy who will treat you with respect...You may actually have a great time...You may actually like this guy...Here is someone who really likes you alot...Too bad you are more concerned with what others think...You could be really missing out.

It does not matter how tall he is...if you like him then go for it! I dated a few guys that were shorter than me!!! if you cant see past his height then you are shallow!! its whats on the inside that counts:)

Wow, you're not a little shallow are you? There's no problem with going out with someone who is shorter then you. Come on. If that's the only reason you won't go out with him, them he deserves better then you.

It's not really the chemistry that matters, most of the time. It's how you feel towards each other that counts for itself as a whole.
