You may interested in the brochure in the link below. It is called:

Jehovah's Witnesses- Who Are They? What Do They Believe?

Our life is structured around the model Christ set for us to follow. THAT is the true meaning of being a Christian.

See 1 Peter 2:21; Matthew 16:24; & John 13:15.

I am a Christian.

I would not say those are exclusive of a Christian and not necessarily the only "marks" of a Christian.

God has supported war and does so if it is a just war. Think of WWII. The actions needed to be answered with war. But I know your point is probably Iraq. But your statement reads as a broad sweep of all wars which brings in wars of defense as well.

I know plenty of Christians who give to the needy. I do so.

Christ preached love and tolerence but he also preached hell and sin and righteousness. And if tolerance leads to not telling people what the consequence of sin is then we do a tremendous disservice to our Lord.

Jesus said you must "repent or you will perish". I would say that statment is loving. Would you? Would you yourself say that was tolerant? Christ also said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but though me". Is that tolerant to you as well?

If we fail to preach the full gospel which is sin, hell, repentence, faith in Christ we do a tremendous disservice to our Lord. That is what Christ preached as well did John the Baptist, Paul, John, Peter, and the rest of the Apostles preached. Why would we stray from a Biblical precedent?

If Christ and the others were preaching only love and tolerence, why were they so hated and martyred? Here's the answer from Christ himself in John 7:7 "The world hates me, because I testify that it's works are evil". Tolerant? No. Loving? Yes.

Perhaps you don't know Jesus.

For example, giving to the needy. Jesus didn't own anything. When Jesus fed the many, it was by performing a miracle. Nothing that Jesus gave that was comprised of matter was Jesus' possession, since Jesus renounced possessions, except for the clothes on his back. People actually gave to him. The donkey he rode into Jerusalem on was a gift. The oil that anointed his head was a gift. Other people fed him.

And while Jesus certainly preached love, he didn't preach tolerance. He called those who did not believe him hypocrites, vipers, and children of Hell.

Moreover, Christians cannot act like Christ when it comes to Christ's purpose. That is, none of us can take on the sins of the world and die for the salvation of humankind.

If you get to know Jesus Christ the Son of God a little better, it would behoove you.

I met a man and woman who was the most like Christ that everytime you got around them it was like Christ was there too. You can't go on support war cause God led many men into battle in the Old Testement. When Jesus comes back at his Second Coming there will be war.

Do you really think Jesus preached against war, and tolerance, etc. ? What would you do with this verse: "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword" - Matthew 10:34. or "For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household." Matthew 10:35. How about tolerance? "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life NO MAN comes to the Father, but by me." - John 14:6. Does that sound very tolerant to you. Do you really know what Christ is like? Though the ultimate end of the gospel is peace with God, its immediate result is conflict. Being a Christian can strain and destroy family relationships. Jesus calls us to die to ourselves, pick up our crosses daily and follow him. Christianity is not for the timid, only for those who are sick and tired of the sin that destroys both themselves and the world around them. Make no mistake, Jesus knows what sin does to a person and he isn't tolerant of it at all. Jesus says that He is the way to God because He is the truth of God, and the only truth of God. Not Gandhi, Mohamed, Confucius, Joseph Smith, or any other man, but Jesus and only Jesus. Jesus is very intolerant. It's His way or no way. "For straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to eternal life, and few there be that find it." - Matthew 7:14.

If you remember Jesus turned tables over and drove the money changers out of the temple, He did not abide sin, He forgave it but did not abrove of it, in that way yes I have met many (and if you don't want war then go over to the muslim nations and allow them to kill you for being an american)

Almost every Christian I know, including myself, is like that (sometimes). Christ was perfect and nobody else. You can't expect us to be Christ-like all the time.

No Christian Is perfect, Christ won perfection for us on the Cross.
It is not about being perfect, but about fighting the good fight.

Paul wrote that he fought the good fight, he finished the race.
he kept the faith, He did not say he won it.
It is about keeping the faith, You dont have to win the race or the fight, Christ done that for us on the cross.
It ia about showing up for it and finishing it.

Yes there are many good Christians out there. You cannot group all members of any religion together because all people are different in their attitudes, belief's and respect.
