Hey SIMONE O,

Censorship is like opinions. If it is happening to Simone, then it will happen to others. The private sites you are looking at apparently have some 'judgement' factors.

Try these places, maybe they can get more specific with an answer.

Did you add the entries? If so, do you have a curricula vitae? Have you been shown (not self sponsored)? Have you been published? Are there articles written about you in reputable magazines or periodicals? Do you have your pieces in a museum? Are any of your works considered significant? Are you sought out for your work by private investors? Have you been granted NEA funds for your work? Do you have a Q score?

If you can't answer yes to at least a few of these, then you would not qualify as an entry in a normal encyclopedia. Online publications have to keep standards too, otherwise little Jenny Spunkelmeyher, a 5 year old from Podunk Idaho, whose mother thinks she is the next coming, would also have her finger painting pictures in the encyclopedia.

Then I Googled you. Of the top 20 pages pulled with your references, not a single on had an example of your work. Also, there were no obvious links to your art. Also, most of the pages were pages written by you. Scoring 0 for 20 is not good, especially when you have an "Artist Home Page" and it is a generic format and no art.

As for other artists being denied wiki entries, yes, there are quite a few. Simply put there is no way to verify you are an artist and certainly no way to verify if you are an artist of note worthy of being in the Wiki.
