Have someone shoot at you from 6 feet away. If you dodge the bullet you are NINJA. If you fail to avoid the bullet you are not NINJA and deserve to die a slow painful death.

Are you currently training in ninja arts? If so, there are belt tests that will evaluate your skills. However, if you are talking about "real or dojo" then you can only wait until you are challenged in the real world. Some martial artists I have heard of are really excellent with dojo skills, but they do not possess shinkengata, the fire of battle, and they do not intrinsically accept the zero sum possibility in ANY confrontation. I have heard of a fifth degree black belt ninja who was beaten up by five thugs without fighting back. He did not have the right attitude for a real life fight.
Don't go out and pick a fight, but just be ready for one, whenever and whereever you are, whatever you may be doing. Also, if you're referring to stealth skills like silent walking or running up trees and the like, those skills have to be constantly practiced. Just practice walking in a field of dead leaves or sneaking up on your friends.

They ARE imaginary.
You are NOT a ninja. The best thing you can hope for is that you were not totally lied to and that whatever teacher claimed to teach you ninjitsu was actually teaching you judo or karate under the banner of ninjitsu.

I'd say go to a studio and have one of the best instructors see what you can do. They will tell you if they are real or imagined.

anyone can kill, but don't get away with it... if your STEALTH skills are awesome, i'd say your a ninja... you don't have to kill, i think..
try following or spying a group of people NOT in public without getting notice... in a jungle perhaps..

I would think it is imagined since true ninjitsu never left the mountains of Japan.

Check your calander. If you are living in the 21st century (or even the 20th) the answer is no. If you are living hundreds of years ago, maybe.
