Having been a friendly, sociable confident girl who then got dumped after 2.5 years (who got depressed during this stage), i am now on the look out for a new guy i suppose. Can anyone give me some hints on who/what to look out for? Things to do and things to avoid, ive never dated before, it was a school childhood sweetheart thing.

i would wait a while before moving onto someone else. You need to make sure that you are healthy and emotionally stable and over the guy that dumped you. Once you are you may realise that you don't want a guy and are happy being single. The right guy for you will come along eventually, dont rush things. good luck.

Im this order:
1. (First impresions count) Face is pretty
2. Good figure.
3. (if i get this far) Personality. (without this the others do not work so a long term relationship is out of the question)
4. (if 1,2 and 3 are filled) Ask on date to find out more
5. (if only 1 and 2 are filled) try hardest to go back to her place then never see again.
I suspect this is how most guys work. Looks are great but without the depth of a good personality they will only keep a guy interested for a while.
Tip: dont put out on the first couple of dates if you are after a long term thing.

Guys are looking for a young version of their mother. Someone who will boost their ego, look as though they really are listening to every word they say about car engines, someone who will cook and clean for them and even though you have worked just as long ( or longer ) during the day , they want you to tell them that they look tired and to put their feet up and watch TV while you start another 24hrs of work on domestic chores.
After this the similarity ends with the mother as , as soon as you get to bed ( and you are completely knackered! ) You must transform yourself into a love starved sex kitten and he IS THE LOVE GOD!! ( so he thinks and you must support his belief).
If you live by the above rules you will have a long relationship.....BUT IS IT WORTH IT?

Someone who is at ease with who they are, has a sense of adventure & fun. A girl that's a little unpredictable.
Someone you can 100% trust, that is positive, that is open and willing to share issues. A girl who makes you feel good.
A girl that lets you go out with your friends sometimes without a fight.
A girl that has dress sense and takes pride in her appearance.
A girl without emotional baggage or insecurity.

don't look for people just because of there looks. find someone who is caring, sweet, giving loving has a nice personality etc... find someone who you know respects you and you can trust. Also find smoeone you can see being with for the rest of you life someone you can see having kids with getting married to a person who you have stuff in commen with etc.. Avoid, over confident, to into themselves kind of people. people who think they're to good for anyone etc...
