Try to make an appointment on Friday, I don't think you'll be able to eat for a while, probably have a gauze pack for a few hours, your dentist will advise you on what to eat and when. Ice packs are great for pain and swelling. It is a necessary evil...put you will feel so much better later on...good luck!

How many and which ones? The ones that are in the front are not as bad as molars or wisdom teeth.
I have had plenty of surgery and teeth pulled and went back the same day.
Just don't eat anything that you have to suck on like through a straw. It will cause a dry socket and it hurts bad. Your dentist will tell you what to eat and not to.
Just ask him/her what to do . If you are feeling very bad the next day maybe 1 day home but no more.

Having this done on a Friday is an excellent idea. Then you won't miss any school. Although you might not anyway.
Once the numbing wears off, eat soft foods. You won't
want to eat hard foods. If you eat while your numb, you will bite lips, cheeks and drool and not be able to feel it.
Mouth wash with Hydrogen Peroxide it will bubble the food junk out of the wounds and assist in healing and killing pain. Buy it at the drug store, it's very inexpensive.
Good Luck, I take a head set with music and it takes my mind off what is going on.

I know people who had wisdom teeth pulled and were down for three days. I had 2 of mine pulled and went straight back to work that afternoon (which I regret 'cause my boss made some sarcastic remark - I should've sandbagged!). The amount ofpain is different for everybody, too. I didn't have any and my teeth were compacted.
They'll give you instructions when they do it - don't worry.

My son (9yrs old) goes to school the same day he gets them pulled. Don't eat anything until the numbness wears off. Then you may want to stick to something warm and easy like soup. Watch out for cold stuff. Don't drink from a straw or smoke. The sucking motion will keep the "wound" from clotting and you will keep bleeding.

i had my wisdom teeth pulled about 2 years aog, i was 25 and thought that it would be horrible...it wasnt too bad...i just took my pain killers when i really needed them, i constantly rinsed my mouth out because if you get a small food particle or germ in those open areas, you will have a huge infection appear and it could spread to your entire mouth and even face...
my dentist told me not to eat regular foods atleat for a week and a half..i needed to eat soft things like applesauce, popsicles, ice cream, pudding, bananas...i thought that i was going to starve to death but you know what, i lost about 5-7 pounds..it was the best diet ever...
just be cautious of things you are eating, drink lots of water, clean your mouth throughly and rest...
good luck
