Any idea how big Mons is? It fits ten times into Brussels!!! No idea what it's like, never been there... It's in the French part of Belgium and I live in the Dutch part.
Check out www.mons.be (sorry, only French) to get more info on the town.

To answer on Fientje's comment: the French word 'Mons' means 'Bergen' in Dutch (or Flemish). The Dutch word 'Moeskroen' is 'Mouscron' in French.

Mons is located close to the French border .
Mons is the French word for the same city Moeskroen as pronounced by the Flemish .
Same for Tournay , witch is actually Doornik .

It is a cute little town in the southern part of Belgium. It is where the SHAPE headquarters is located. There is also an American army base there... Are you stationed there?
