I know I'm depressed. I'm too lazy to even fix my hair and make-up so I feel ugly and even more depressed. I'm too tired and overwhelmed to clean my house and it makes me nervous. Any suggestions? Help. Anyone else feel this way?

Since you know you're depressed, you need to find a cure for that.

Talk to a physician. Be careful about anti-depressants though, they can be hard to stop.

Get some sun, get some excercise, get some fresh air.

Cut back on sugar, wheat and dairy. Eat some fresh vegetables.

Talk to a friend. Hold a newborn baby, or play w/ puppies in a pet store.

Give a dollar to a homeless person. Volunteer to help a charity.

Do one small task, and complete it. Don't worry about anything else. When you finish that one, then look for another one.

i have had depression since i was 11, i am 27 now so i know how you are feeling...its alot about your daily activities, i used to be so depressed that i wouldnt open the blinds and stayed in bed all day which made me feel even worse...when you are depressed you dont want to do anything...force yourself to get up and out of bed, get dressed, go for a drive, for a walk, or go to walmart just to walk around...getting out of the house is good for your mental state...it wont happen overnight but you need to keep at it...

also, go to your doctor, ask about anti-depressants and get some blood work done..every year i have a check up and get my thryoid, red blood cell count and get tested for diabetes, all those conditions can make you feel even more tired and depressed...i was so anemic, that i couldnt stand up sometimes without falling over...eat more healthy foods, especially ones high in fiber and protein...hang in there

There have been times where I have felt like that. It took a while for me to over come it. I couldn't sleep, couldn't take care of things that needed to be done, and just plain didn't care about most things. Then I opened up to a great friend of mine. She first told me to start taking the vitamin B50, which helps with tiredness. I started taking them and a few days later i could tell I had more energy. Then she told me that I had to get dressed up and go out with her for a night. I did and I tell ya it felt great to look in the mirror and see that I still could look good. We went out and it took me a little while but then i loosened up and had a great time that night. The next morning I didn't want to loose the feeling I had and go back to the depressive state so I just put it in my head that I am better than all that. Hun you gotta keep your head up. Tell yourself you are better that this. Its a great feeling to be back to your old self again you just gotta push yourself a little bit. It may take time but you WILL get there. Good luck ;)

Get some exercise. Even if it's just to walk around the block- it'll help for you to get some fresh air.

Clinical depression can for sure sap you of energy. Have you considered going on an anti-depressant for awhile? See you Dr. and tell him your symptoms/complaints.

You're just going through a lull. You're saving up your energy when you really need it. When you don't need it, it seems as if you're being lazy but you're not. It's more of a motivation problem than an energy problem.

yes, i feel lazy, too. i gotta force myself to do some everyday things and it is so annoying. i think it is because of lack of eating the right foods everyday and lack of excercise. i excercise enough, but maybe what i eat is not enough. idk but you are not alone.
